Well done everyone, heart warming to say the least, Beccy wants to hug you all, she's hoping to get to a home game soon so I will let everyone know as I'm sure she'd like to meet a number of you. her fathers ashes will also be scattered at the Valley at some point.
As others have said, I'm happy for Beccy to use the excess as she sees fit.

Also to let everyone know, I've just got off the phone to the Funeral Directors and have settled the £2,899 bill courtesy of you all, Beccy is one happy lady!!

its a very fair reflection of what we supporters are capable of if a certain belgian did ever leave us high and dry,i dont mean that in the financial sense, but my suspicion is that the belgians end game will probably result in us picking up the pieces0

£4,900 would be fantastic as that also pays off the overdraft from the flowers and some travels between Liverpool, Wales & Poole, but people have been very generous already and the original target has been smashed! Out of curiosity I did a google search to see if there had been any further media pickup on the story and there also seems to be a go fund me account set up last November by a friend to pay towards funding the funeral costs for Ian 'Charlton' Oxley and where the only donation (£20) seems to have happened just 2 days ago. Any well wishers not familiar with CharltonLife and looking to chip in towards the costs seems to have the choice of two funds at the moment.
