Been watching this series from day one.....brilliant TV. The only thing that really bothers me is the way the Dire Wolves have never really had the impact that I expected from the day they found the Puppies. Its almost as if they had plans to make them a major feature, and then changed their mind. Gave up with the books as I kept (like many others I imagine) thinking well its not like that in the TV series....anyway, a monumental television series. I may go back to the books once the TV series has concluded, although it will be a sad day when we have no further episodes to look forward to.

budgetery and scheduling reasons are why the dire wolves are not really featured as heavily as the books. The wolves are filmed seperately, scaled up and edited in. Takes a lot of budget for the wolves to actually interact like fighting on the battlefield etc as they're known for in the books. They already spend a lot on white walkers/whites and the dragons and simply dont have the budget or the time to have a bunch of wolves in shot.

Any new, news on GOT I am so hyped for this season, despite the quiet spells we have run into more and more of late.

I have read the books up to date and enjoy the comparison with the the tv show, which on the most part has changed things for the better, but will probably not bother to finish the books now (if he ever gets them finished).

Not long now - really looking forward to it given it's gone past some bits in the book.

Also, they're much, much harder to make convincing. We've never seen dragons or snow zombies before. But the wolves hit an uncanny valley. Before I knew how they did the effects, I could tell something was off but couldn't quite figure out what.

  • Not long now.
  • Had not watched a single episode up until 6 weeks ago now I have watched the box set on sky nearly caught up currently on series 5 episode 10

Must admit it's brilliant but glad I never watched it in any other way than binge as I don't think I'd like the gaps in between series

you're going to hate the gap between the last 2 seasons then

I may binge rewatch the lot in the run up to the last one

Watched it all on DVD in a few weeks as don't have Sky.

Going to be frustrating not to be able to watch it "live".

Need to find an illegal stream

In my recent experience, TV streams aren't easy to find, although it is the most downloaded TV show of all time.

Or the legal alternative NOW TV for £6.99 a month... You can then also watch SkySports on the weekends you want. (£6.99 for each 24hour period)

Game of Thrones returns Monday. I'm like a Love Islander who has just been told they've got their own villa with a bed on a swing!

    Episode 1 is Dragonstone.
