I must say I'm quite disappointed that we don't hear much from them regarding the mess the club is in.......shouldn't we expect a bit more from some of them?

Wouldn't you have thought that some of them would have some lasting affection for the club and as such would speak out......it's surprising to me that we don't hear much from them.

Chris Powell spoke very frankly on Talksport about his experiences under Duchatelet. Matt Holland clearly didn't listen to SCP's interview, as he had clearly fallen for Pinocchio's charms when he spoke about the protests last year on the same station. Danny Murphy was involved in Jim White's investigation into our owners, culminating in an interview with Daisy, again on Talksport.
Not sure who else you'd expect to hear from. I'm sure Kinsella, Kiely, Eddie Youds, Shaun Bartlett, Jonatan Johansson and the lads who made up the promotion-winning squad from 2012 are all greatly saddened by what has become of us, and I'm sure they'd happily express their displeasure to any journo that asked them. Who's gonna ask though? Man City, Jose Mourinho, Barcelona, Chelsea, etc, they all take up a lot of column inches and airtime, and sell more papers than we do. That's why the protests are so important - something innovative and "unique" by the fans is much more newsworthy than an ex-pro telling everyone what they already know about Roland and Katrien.

Those who have retired have moved on, and those still playing risk accusations of sour grapes or being unprofessional. Might explain it.
One thing I've learnt in life is never burn bridges. Some of these players may find themsleves in need of a club a few years down the line and wouldn't want to jeopardise any future move.
He's not a big name so wouldn't have been picked up on by many, but I remember Matt Fry tweeting about it saying something along the lines of feeling sorry for the fans, we don't deserve it etc.

Since finding out about the season ticket box containing a scarf, the signing of Billy Clarke and that the sausage roll option is being looked in to, Brown has backed down.
Over three years that's not a whole lot........a couple of notables on the missing list are Hales and Flanagan. You'd think maybe the ex players association might have piped up somehow or another.
The players you would probably want to have a few pints with are the likes of Morro,Yann,Hamer plus the coaches like Riga and Peeters along with the current players like Solly and Jacko. I bet they've got a few stories to tell.

Card should try to get a few of them over to Belgium on the next demo (assuming there will be one that is), I'm certain their involvement would encourage more fans to make the trip too.

Yes other than the ones like Yann and Morrison who had direct dealings with KM/RD, what would the ex players be able to contribute?

As much as I like Keith Peacock seeing him being something of a wet blanket is pretty pathetic to be honest. He's a gentleman of the first order and always the diplomat but surely even his patience must be stretched to breaking point! Or is he simply an apologist.....I just don't know......though I'd be amazed if he was. Never heard so much as a peep out of him in all the time the regime have been in charge.
