We were rumoured to have paid around that for Ajose last year.uie2 said:

Strange. Not played much all his career, decent pedigree but his wages are ridiculous so chances are it will never become permanent.
Seems a little short sighted imo
Better that Martin though so that's a positive - never been that impressed with him0 -
Well at least we now have 2 decent keepers.
Now for a striker and a number ten without anyone leaving and we should at least be competitive for a change.0 -
I can't believe we have gone and signed another keeper. What about Phillips! #fauxoutrage
Glad we now have 2 senior keepers, can't say I know much about Amos other than he was once on the books at Man Utd.1 -
Dont believe any of this until it's on the
OSbite size rumours thread.9 -
A player with a lot to prove, he should be up for it.5

I still think we will sign Ben reeves0

Good shout he's got to sign for someone soon the season starts next week.FAVADDICK said:I still think we will sign Ben reeves
If a championship club doesn't come in for him we must have a chance2 -
Fuck him. We shouldnt be happy that a player will only sign for us when nothing better comes along.FAVADDICK said:I still think we will sign Ben reeves

I really don't get this attitude, he is not a charlton fan or a former charlton player and has no connection or emotional attachment to this club so why would he want to come here if there was a better offer out there?Redvalleyeast said:

In his position I and I'm sure most others would be doing the same - trying to get the best wage at the highest level he can.14 -

I understand that. On the flip side, why would we want him to come here knowing that we are the last resort for a wage? KR said himself 2 weeks ago that he wasnt going to continue to chase players who didnt want to play for Charlton. We've waited long enough for Reeves to make his mind up imo.Covered_End_Lad said:

I know we all have an emotional attachment....but let's be honest.....what player in their right mind would have us as their preferred destination in the current climate?!?Redvalleyeast said:

Therein lies the problem but its better than being unemployed which he is at the moment so again, why should we be happy that a player still cant make his mind up a week before the season starts? Would seriously have to question his commitment to fight for the cause.SuedeAdidas said:
