Shrewsbury away(11//11/17) advanced purchase train tickets

This is international weekend so there is the possbibility our game could be called off, as we did on two occasions last season. The best way to save money is this.

Marylebone to Birmingham Moor Street, there are numerous trains each way at £5.50 singles. From here a 5 minutes walk takes you to New Street.

New Street to Shrewsbury is £15 return BUT this is bookable on the day so ensuring you do not lose money on a wasted train ticket.

There are of course trains from Euston to New Street, usually 3-4 an hour, prices are between £6-7.50 each way.

The town centre to the ground is about 3 miles, there was a shuttle bus last season but I could not find it(where was it Clive?) so a £10 taxi took us.

  • Quick question if our game against oldham is not going to get called off then why would Shrewsbury? I can't see them having 3 international players. Really want to go Shrewsbury aswell.

Of course it all depends on call ups, there is nothing to say that the quota would be picked to ensure the game could be called off.
  • There are buses from the bus station to the ground & the return buses leave from behind the South stand [home end] 10 mins after the game.
  • it does go for either side;

shrewsbury's number 1 has been a regular at england u20 level
  • As Clive said, bottom of Darwin centre to bus station and then any bus going to meole brace.

I wish I knew that last season.

I would have saved £10 and a lot of hassle.
  • Brought up in Shrewsbury, cracking little town.

    Oh yes.

We had a great time last season. A bit like me, small but very pleasant.
  • Chances of it being called off with Northern Ireland in the playoffs?

I certainly wouldn't be buying tickets or booking hotels/trains yet...

Not only do you talk it, you now want to eat it.
  • fixtures that weekend that could have charlton players unavailable for selection.

northern ireland vs tbc wc playoffs - josh magennis
germany u20 vs england u20 14/11/2017 - konsa and dasilva

the u21s also have a fixture that weekend should either of them step up.
  • Kidderminster v Darlington is on that day if the game gets cancelled.
  • Would Konsa and Dasailva be expected to play for their clubs before going out on the 14th or do you think we will get the choice to call it off if they all get called up?
