Could they look at an older keeper that's happy to sit on the bench as well as doing some coaching, would be cheaper.2

Plenty. Being a GK coach you're well away from the nonsense, do a good job and other opportunities will arise.Athletico Charlton said:

Lyle Taylor not that good? Was great against us, is mobile and strong enough. Scored 14 goals for a side who almost got relegated, not bad at all.
I remember last season apparently Magennis was our original Ronaldo and would score the goals to get us promotion. That turned out well aye

Is Phillips not good enough for No 1? Beeney as cover? Mascoll as LB back-up? I'd be happy to judge in January.0

Hasn't Beeney been released?harveys_gardener said:Is Phillips not good enough for No 1? Beeney as cover? Mascoll as LB back-up? I'd be happy to judge in January.

Beeney has left the building. Maynard- Brewer is good and Australian, but not yet ready.

He may have to be1

If he scored 14 goals in that Wimbledon side then you'd expect him to get at least 20 in a Sunderland side that should go up.0
-
Didn’t Ajose get 22 ish in a Swindon side that scraped survival? Surely by that logic he’d have scored 30 for us.5

He was basically a non entity in the game against us, he latched on to a shocking backpass and luckily managed to nutmeg Amos by fluffing his shot straight at himSage said:Lyle Taylor not that good? Bowyer said he gave our defenders all sorts of problems. I agree with Bowyer.Pelling1993 said:

He's a much better player than Magennis at any rate.0 -

2 problems there are that a) he didn't play much and b) we weren't a good sidecafc_harry said:Didn’t Ajose get 22 ish in a Swindon side that scraped survival? Surely by that logic he’d have scored 30 for us.

Who is to say they’ll be a good side or he’ll play much?Chris_from_Sidcup said:

SLP on Pope’s sell on clause and Lennon’s move to Southend. Suggests we could get around £3m if Pope moves and £50k for Lennon.0 -
Might mean we don’t sell one more player but nothing else will happen other than Roland pocketing it and using it to pay bills.Scoham said:https://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-set-for-multi-million-windfall-if-liverpool-move-for-burnley-shotstopper/

Looks like Bradford have let go Colin Doyle
Wouldnt be a bad shout as a Goalkeeper option, certainly dedicated player as he played for Ireland against Turkey one evening last season then flew straight home so he could play for Bradford the next day0 -

5 loanees gone & now 2 defenders & 1 midfielder.......all going well then.0

RD looking for a squad of 11 apparently - told Bowyer that's enough for a team. Bowyer and JJ as subs.golfaddick said:5 loanees gone & now 2 defenders & 1 midfielder.......all going well then.

I hope for Bowyer's sake Blackburn don't offer £1m + for Bauer as that would only leave Prarce & Sarr as recognised centre halves......and Sarr is likely to go as well imo.0

I believe that the worst is yet to come but if everything goes as it is now and Roland will be gone. I think it has to happen. If it means L2 or a bad season next year, that in the long run will be ok. This club has spirit. It just might be 2022 before we see progress.golfaddick said:5 loanees gone & now 2 defenders & 1 midfielder.......all going well then.

Kingsley or Martin ?BartramBlitz said:This is so depressing. Amis was my player of the year. I know we can’t afford him but being second to Brentford and now Millwall really twists the knife in the Charlton corpse. We know who prompted this transfer

Players and fans absolutely love him judging by twitter.AddickRam said:

Is Eaves coming to the Valley with him?3

Hope so. That would be a great signing in the current context.OhEddieYouds said:Is Eaves coming to the Valley with him?

From the comments on Twitter it certainly seems as if he’s got a touch of Charlton about him. Fans seem to love himAddickRam said:
