    It's worth pointing out that the Russian league season is only 30 games and they have a winter break from mid-December until March, so their (largely domestic based) squad is probably the freshest in the entire tournament.

    Watching extra time I thought the Russians were moving like they had only just kicked off for the second half, but i'm happy to agree to disagree on this one since I can't really prove anything.

    I will say though Russia as a sporting nation have brought all of the finger pointing and accusations on themselves.

    Blimey, he's good but not up there with them two. Certainly one of the very best central midfielders I've had the pleasure to watch live.
