    Morkel has been pretty poor. Dropped in the last match for Sam. Pillans has been good in the 2 games he has played. I think they will save Morkel for the 4 day games.

    Roy is out with a finger injury and Tom is still struggling with his side strain so will continue to play for the 2s as a batsman.

    Toss uncontested, Notts bat first - and are all out for 210, with all four seamers chipping in with wickets. It could have been even better but for a last-wicket stand of 45 between Gurney and Ball.

    In reply Surrey are currently rattling along at 61-0 off ten overs, Stoneman passing 10,000 first-class runs in the process.
