Another dinosaur appointed. Surely he's had enough jobs by now.
Ok he's an ex player and will get some goodwill but it will all end in tears.0 -
Yeah that’s a step backwards even if in the future he proves me wrong although by then this will be in the past and pop will have eaten itself...2

O'Neill hasn't impressed in recent years with Ireland, you wonder if he isn't passed his sell by date1

Wagner has left Huddersfield.
Ex Addick Mark Hudson to take charge.0 -
Wagner at Uddersfield gone. Asked to go apparently their fans thought he was the best thing since sliced bread after he had taken over from CP.0

So said that annying leedsbasedfan troll who used to come on here.RedChaser said:Wagner at Uddersfield gone. Asked to go apparently their fans thought he was the best thing since sliced bread after he had taken over from CP.
Shows how little patience there is now. Wonder if they will go for an old school rescue type like big Sam?0 -
another job lined up ? .. did a decent job with a mini budget .. Huddersfield look doomed this season but look like hitting the parachute jackpot as compensationRedChaser said:Wagner at Uddersfield gone. Last time we played them Henners in that 5-0 drubbing when Henderson was hung out to dry with the press a number of their fans I spoke to coming away from the ground backed up the troll's opinion sad to say. All the usual candidates no doubt will throw their hats into the ring.Henry Irving said:

He clearly did a great job for them but couldn't sustain it without more money and a goalscorer.RedChaser said:

Sure he won't be out of work for long.1 -
Wagner performed a miracle to get them into the premier league, then another miracle to keep them there. When he couldn't achieve a 3rd miracle he's rewarded with the sack. Ridiculous.10

Wasn’t sacked. Went to Dean Hoyle and said he needed a break from the game. That’s what’s being reported up here anyway.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Wagner performed a miracle to get them into the premier league, then another miracle to keep them there. Said on radio that he was going to leave at the end of the season anyway but they agreed that he should go now.Addickted2U said:

It’s the main story on Look North. Dean Hoyle has said he had absolutely no intention letting Wagner go, even at the end of the season. Apparently he said ’by mutual consent’ does not reflect what’s transpired today with DW’s decision.Henry Irving said:

I think a club like Everton might go in for Wagner if Silva fails. Maybe Leicester as Puel looks on the way out.1

Smart move. No relegation on your CVAddickted2U said:

Strange decision, they haven’t lost a league game for 5 yearsRedChaser said:Wagner at Uddersfield gone. Asked to go apparently their fans thought he was the best thing since sliced bread after he had taken over from CP.

Not sure how attractive the job will be as Huddersfield look doomed, and it's hard to see a new manager making enough difference to save them, as the quality is clearly not there
On the other hand, a genuine chance of promotion again next season, it's not as if the squad is going to be plundered by other clubs!0 -

Shame to say but I don’t think it has to look attractive anymore. The same old type of managers just move between the relegation threatened teams each year. One of the usual suspects will be appointed, get paid handsomely until end of May and then leave once season is over and Huddersfield are relegated.killerandflash said:Not sure how attractive the job will be as Huddersfield look doomed, and it's hard to see a new manager making enough difference to save them, as the quality is clearly not there

I don't think Huddersfield think like that, I can't see them appointing a Mark Hughes type, they're more likely to go for someone young (and foreign again?)stoneroses19 said:

Gus Poyet is out of work. Might be right up his street.0

Pardew??
Question if Pardew took the job and finished 17th with Palace in 18th, would Charlton fans like Pardew again0 -

He'd still be a **** but a useful ****.5 -
Curbs is available.0

Dreary team......dreary football......dreary manager. I hope they get relegated. Not had a decent striker all season (not last either). Not upset he's gone.0
-
Spurs lose manager to Madrid/ Howe to Spurs/ Wagner to Bournemouth....0
-
I think he got lucky two seasons in a row and couldn’t magic up a third.0
-
Carlisle appoint Steven Pressley as their new manager. Quite a nice job to take over
