Yawn. Same old shit then2

The EFL buying the club?! What the hell.17
-
Ian Wallis (Bromley Addicks) said he is 100% against the club being split from the training ground/Valley. IW said “never in 1 million years”.
The Fans’ Forum unanimously insisted that the football club not be separated from the stadium and training ground in any deal.
Well said @killerjerrylee Go Bromley Addicks

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzsell up and f**k off2
-
Clive Harris (City Addicks) said he has contact with the Chief of Police in St Truiden. He said he knows that none of the protest groups are involved and said in his opinion no supporter of the club would draw a love heart on the wall in relation to the club (one of the pieces of graffiti that appeared). He said he could tell because of the grammar, the spelling and the style, he said it wasn’t even in the English language. CH said he’d just walked past “Roland Out” in Floyd Road and that is what would be written. CH said he thinks it isn’t something a Charlton supporter has done and therefore it isn’t relevant to a Charlton Fans' Forum.
BR said he felt it was not the business of the Fans’ Forum.
LDT said he wanted an open communication to inform the fans about the incident, as with all Fans’ Forum meetings he wanted correct, transparent communication.
CH said there is no way a Charlton fan from the UK was involved more importantly we should not be discussing an ongoing criminal investigation.
Well said @razil and @spiritof1947 Go Museum

He asked the Fans’ Forum what they would think about the EFL being offered to acquire the club. He said they would pass the EFL Fit and Proper Persons test, they understand the monthly losses as they have the financial figures of the club and they have the football know how to run it.
Am I misunderstanding something? He suggested that Roland could sell the football part of the business TO the Football League? How the hell would that work? Or be allowed, considering conflict of interest, etc?4 -
Sorry, what? Have the Football League own the club? Would that even be allowed? Why would they? Are they interested? If it were an option why would they give a shit what we think about it anyway when they never have before? Is Roland's brain leaking out of his ear these days or something?6

I mean the EFL buy us ? What I want is the Premier League to buy us then we can slip moody results in and win the league , there’s my proposal thinking outside the box of frogs that I am
what a load of shit14 -
So RD says on talksports there are not interested parties but "LDT said there are still three parties interested in buying the club."
One or both of them are lying.
And if there are three parties why are you talking about giving the club to the EFL (which is bizarre even by Duchatelet standards).21 -

Not convinced this has taken us any further forward. Still the same impasse.
There is only one way out - lower the price as was stated by the FF.2 -
Mmmmm......problem is do we believe LDT.....unfortunately experience says we don't. Thanks Clive and all who attended the meeting.0

I have a strong feeling that Roland doesn't like the annualised losses that he is incurring........ running out of salable assets are we Roly?
He only cares about the P&L of this mad adventure of his....... his ideas of an exit strategy are becoming very bizarre indeed.
He need psychiatric help or divine intervention to come out of this without a serious dent to his bank balance.5 -
No comment from LDT then on Duchatelet's assertion that there were no ongoing or implied meaningful ongoing negotiations since a year ago (the Aussies). If LDT's update is accurate, why doesnt the old scrote know about what's happening?1
-
Is the “selling the club to the EFL” thing a typo?
how would that even happen?
even for Roland with his Standard and St Truiden history he must see what an enormous conflict of interest that would create?3 - Sponsored links:

Brilliant idea RD, get the EFL to buy Charlton, you couldn't make it up !
Mind you, I'm sure they could arrange for us to win all our games and we'll be back in The Premier League in no time at all.
I'm struggling to have ever heard anything so ridiculous in football.
The bloke should be sectioned.
F%$%&%g clowns.7 -
So that's it, nothing of any substance really, there was no genuine proposal, EFL and lease of ground was laughably dismissed by all present, any suggestion of splitting the ground from the club was rigorously opposed and the graffiti was refuted, mainly so we could quickly move onto the sale of the club, this remains the most pressing matter as Barnie insisting right at the start.
There is no real news but those present were unanimous in suggesting that Roland should lower his price and sell.

So, in 2019 the pantomime season starts even earlier than usual in SE7.

Cements the fact that he’s mad. I’m convinced he had a few local loons (Walloons ?) graffiti his properties. If a Hollywood actor can instigate a racially motivated attack on himself, anything’s possible.0
-
How could supposedly intelligent businessmen contemplate that the governing body of a group of football clubs, responsible for rules and enforcing fairness, could possibly buy one of the clubs within its durastiction?7

This sounds all desperate.. Probably why the "important" bits was taken off the agenda.. as LDT must have thought "shit I have been saying 5 interested clubs and RD has buggered that line up.. What do I do now? Shit, Shit.. let's take the takover off the agenda so I can swerve that one. Well done the attendees for standing up and saying the ground andf the football club can't be split". EFL buy the club.. Strewth. they haven't got a clue !!. As you say, why are they so keen to dump the club with the EFL, yet have 2 prties involved.2
