Average away League One followings this season

    2749 Sunderland
    1510 Luton
    1468 Barnsley
    1399 Portsmouth
    1254 Coventry
    1105 Bradford C
    872 Plymouth
    841 Charlton
    834 Oxford
    700 Peterborough
    685 Bristol R
    682 Doncaster
    638 Southend
    534 Wycombe
    490 Wimbledon
    484 Blackpool
    466 Shrewsbury
    462 Scunthorpe
    437 Gillingham
    418 Walsall
    406 Rochdale
    290 Burton
    269 Accrington
    109 Fleetwood
Just putting it out there, we will average over a thousand this season.  Wycombe, Oxford, Plymouth and Gillingham to go.
But still half what Luton take and we get 2k more at home.

    Just putting it out there.
Half the excitement with our owners.
    Half the distance for them.
3 promotions in what 4 years.
Shit loads of new grounds for them.

    Just putting that out there.
We could not take 1,000 to the Portsmouth game.

Distance is irrelevant when Plymouth are averaging 900.

Bradford average 1100 and they have been bottom 6 all season.

How many went to Pompey this year, did we not hit 1k? Poor if not

Luton have been on a roll for the last 3 years and are in a very good spot geographically to take decent numbers in every direction.
Bradford and Plymouth are the standouts considering how pony they are
We will end up at around 1000 which isn’t bad (for us) especially with a lot of northern hell holes this season and what seems to have been a lot more midweek away games because of international etc
Probably the same for a lot of clubs but games like Wimbledon and Luton we could have probably taken 2500+ to whereas Luton will have over 3000 at our place
    #excuses

Luton  =  Decent owner/board, soon to have brand new ground, on the up on the playing field
    Charlton = Roland

Now, before Oohaa loses his mess I am in no way sticking up for our general piss poor away support, but I have never felt as far removed from my football club as I do today and that goes for many more I would contend.
We've had some good away followings this season. Better than other seasons in a similar situation I would hazard a guess (only a guess). That does not quite match up to your comments highlighted above. Each to there own of course but I'm just glad that people are still going to the games in spite of Roland. We'd be in a sorry state if they weren't.

A shade under 1,000 if I'm not mistaken.

Their fanbase has more disposable income, so I read in a recent survey.

Pretty decent considering rock bottom and dead and burried for a while on top of their shocking form.

Taking 800 to Plymouth then 1k to Wycombe midweek deserves a hat tip by our standards. Things actually seem like they're improving.

    Absolutely disgraceful.

    Burton's cup final.

1st time Burton have been to the mighty Sunderland at The Stadium of Light.

    Subsidised coach travel.
