    Dissapointing to only see 40 mins play after tea. Didn't seem any darker than when they started after tea. Couldn't really see a wicket coming though.

    He has had a stress back injury (though not a stress fracture) since the end of last season. He has recovered and has been running and bowling. They didnt judge him ready for this match but it should be the only match he misses. 

    Batty was in line to play but failed a late fitness test for an as yet unspecified injury. 

    VDB has been 3rd choice spinner at Surrey for about 4 years.
