How the referee didn't give the most obvious handball I've seen in years, I do not know.
Win and score that penalty, it's game over.2 -
You sure...thought his legs had gone...😉C_A_F_C said:
Yeah it was Jacko for kicking a water bottle after their goal.aliwibble said:

Who was it in the dugout that got booked?TEL said:Poor performance but what a win! Sat behind Bowyer and he wasn’t a happy bunny about the refereeing. He and Jacko had a few choice words with the fourth official. Great atmosphere, got a brilliant video of the crowd on the pitch. Unreal night but hey, we got there in the end.4 -
I think penalties are usually taken at the end nearest the tunnel now if the tunnel isnt in the middle. That might be rubbish, its rattling around in my head somewhere.0

Lots of awful individual performances and the formation just looked wrong (Aribo's a threat playing in the hole but Taylor, Parker and the rest of our midfield are negatively affected). Hopefully we turn it around for Wembley because it'll be over by half time if we play that way again.0

Disappointed with the way we played, but at the end of the day we are at Wembley and hoping we cannot play as bad as that again. Following a few items from CharltonLive Tweets, sorry if someone else has posted them0

Thought it last night and stand by it after watching the game
Darren Pratley even before the goal was one of the biggest reason we were still in with a chance
his game play his knowledge his willingness to do the shitty horrible parts of the game
he single handily stopped and broke up their dominant midfield play
Not totally but enough to keep one finger clinging on to the tie
without him being bought on it wouldn’t have been the 88th minute they scored it would’ve been much earlier
my mom by miles yesterday
our big players went missing -taylor - Aribo- were shadows of themselves
purlington who I think Has come in for Unfair stick offered nothing in attack
cullen woke up in the second half
Nabby Sarr was back to the beginning of the season
I am not the BFG s biggest fan he is good but not as great as some make out but last night him prately and Dillion stood up to the task
the rest hopefully now have got their stage fright out of the way because just because it’s league 1 playoff final
there will not be many times this game is played by two clubs like us and Sunderland

I think me means "So proud of everyone ... except Roland, Driesen and that 'van' bloke who turns up every now and again but never does anything".ross1 said:What a night at The Valley.Thank you your amazing support. Maybe Jim Ratcliffe the riches man in the UK was watching and he thinks that I will turn Charlton Athletic into the Man city of the south.ShootersHillGuru said:
If onlysoapboxsam said:The scenes at the end were a release of emotion to say we are not just train spotters and some small London club but we have potential to be a decent Championship club with regular crowds of 18k +
I felt that was the audition to a prospective owner.
If only Sam, if only.1 -
Just watched the whole game on tv.
Pratley was superb yesterday and I cannot understand the amount of criticism he gets from some on here.
I will be more than happy to see him come of the bench at Wembley as I'm confident he won't let us down.6 -

Tell you that what, this thread is a cracking read. I have never witnessed such a psychologically broken fanbase. Utter ecstacy when Donny score, when we score all bollocks etc. Then when we win suddenly they would rather play us and all that haha
Well worth a read. I tried signing up to give my two cents but my email isn't good enough due to spam and I would have to use a work email, f that1 -

Horrendous on the nerves last night, but really proud of how we came through it. What Bowyer has built with Jacko is amazing and we’re now just one game away.
We’ve got such a good group of players who obviously love playing together, and that is echoed by the support.
Even someone like Chris Maxwell. Not our player, hasn’t played a minute for us, and will be gone in a matter of days
But just before the penalties, he’s got an arm round Dillon, motivating him and getting him up for it. Brilliant2 -
I always wanted Sunderland in the final although after watching Pompey the other night, I did change my mind. Remember the result and forget the performance and business as usual on Sunday. I'd keep the same side bar Williams for Morgan.3
