According to https://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/wembley-stadium-london.html the wembley pitch is smaller than most league grounds, including the Valley. However is exactly the same as SoL.
That isn’t quite right, The Valley pitch is smaller than Wembley.

I still stick by what I said the other day.  You don't change a team that has been winning for weeks.....that means no Solly, Pearce or Williams in the starting 11. I would have said the start with Vetokele if he was fully fit......but as it looks like he's not I'd start with Parker & hope Igor can do 20 mins+ off the bench. The size of the pitch will suit Morgan's range of passing & we need someone who can get the ball forward quickly to Taylor. William's (like Igor) is a great asset to bring on later in the game.

As for the score & the result......f**k knows. Been milling it over for days & still I have no idea.

2-1. But no idea who to.

We want a win tomorrow yes..?
    Of course we do.
    Winning is good and healthy.
We don't want to lose tomorrow !!!
    No mum that hurts.
    So far so good.

It's what comes after that messes up the equation.

I do not want to become victorious.
    Its a wank !!!

For the first few days the smile is involuntary, then you have to tease it out then you have to dig it.
    A wank...

A defeat though is the real jazz.
It will wake you up in the morning for the rest of your life, gives you that angst look - guaranteeing endles suply of sympathy sex etc'.

    So my question (dear Deirdre).
Can we win tomorrow and somehow retain our defeated status..?

    we've earned it...

We go up 1-0 at the half, bring it to 2-0 at minute 65 and then hold them off at the end, 2-1.

Some pitches measured in meters some in yards... Wembley is meters, Valley is yards

Would be a massive error starting Morgan IMO. He is going to be an excellent player, but now is not the time. I do wonder when fans watched us demolish Luton and outplay Portsmouth recently whether they actually realised we were playing at a different level in those games.

I think he’ll start Williams and put Morgan on the bench.

Someone on Facebook put up a photo of his son with Igor, apparently he wouldn’t say if he’s fit for tomorrow but he smiled and said wait and see.
  • The boys have now experienced a packed Valley and what that brings in terms of noise and support.
This is now going to be ramped up a few gears tomorrow and I think we have the minerals and attitude to smash Sunderland.
    3-1 Charlton

That is how I see it, there’s no time for “it would be harsh” in a game of this importance. He’s been superb but Williams gets the nod for me he’s one of the best attacking threats in the league.

Extra time, Sunderland so hard to score against, then the dreaded penalties!

Personally I think Williams is slightly overrated here. Yes he's exciting to watch, but there isn't enough end product for me. While statistics don't tell the whole story, zero goals and 1 assist aren't brilliant numbers.

He might play, but it certainly isn't a given that playing him instead of Morgan or Reeves gives us more of a goal threat, especially if it impacts on where Aribo plays.

Aribo has had great games playing with Williams. I think there are two key decisions playing wise. Sarr has to play as does Williams. I think we can win if we don't start them, but we will win if we do. Morgan gives you a range of passing but not the same energy levels, Pratley makes you more defensively solid but surely we are not going out there to defend against a team like them!

Start on the front foot and try to wallop them. Luton are better than them and we showed them how we can play.

I have a ticket now (big thanks to @GRAY9 for offering a spare) and I feel like a kiddie at Christmas! My prediction - too tight to call just as it was in 1998. Whatever the result, I'm confident that LB will have the lads at their best for the match. COYR!!!

We win with Igor, we don't win without him. Parker tries hard but we struggle to counter as effectively with him in the side.
So annoying that we let KG go....for what 1.5m....fuc. off Roland.

Pressure building. Don’t think Vetokele is fit enough to lay a major part but oh how I’d love to be wrong.

    I’’m wired. COYA COYR

Should be a very tight game and what worries me is that Sunderland defence look rock solid and our attack with Parker can be poor. I think a set piece will win it and I am going 1-0 Sunderland. Very proud of this team and then you just hope the most important signing would be Lee Bowyer with a sale of the club so we can romp League 1 next season.
