It's been a pretty good year for London sides. Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs in European finals, us & Orient promoted & the scum avoiding relegation.

Post Office doesn't dictate what council an area is in
Its in the London Borough of Bexley - that means it's in a London Borough - just like Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Kensington etc etc etc
Its a fact - upsetting though it may be for some4 -
Fulham relegated though!happyvalley said:It's been a pretty good year for London sides. Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs in European finals, us & Orient promoted & the scum avoiding relegation.0 -
Not sure you’d find many arsenal fans calling it a pretty good year, or even an okay year..1

By that logic Palace are a London club, and we all know that that isn't the case. Enjoy the garden of England, don't fight it.Lordflashheart said:

People from actual London know that anywhere with a DA postcode isn’t in London.Lordflashheart said:

I used to live in Welling, Kent. Bought my first house in Crayford, Kent because I could not afford Bexleyheath, Kent.
The schools in the Welling area were run (badly) by Kent CC.
Is it now the London borough of Kent? Why did nobody tell me? I demand they give it all back! Bloody Londoners.0 -
I would. SE if I'm not mistaken?Lordflashheart said:

Parts of Royal Borough of Greenwich have DA postcodes - can we agree that postcodes are a red herring on this matter now ?Croydon said:

Postcodes trump Borough council boundaries as any postman, delivery driver and paper boy will tell you.Lordflashheart said:

Mottingham with an M is obviously London. I lived there for 12 years and we had an SE9 postcode but Bromley Borough Council.
Grove Park is obviously Kent and rightly had a BR (as in Bromley, not British Rail) postcode, but London Borough of Lewistan was the council. And I should know, I run the shop up there next to the BR (as in British Rail, not Bromley) Station for long enough.4 -

Anything over 6 miles as the Crow flies from the City of London is not London to me...0

Using that logic Spurs are therefore not a London teamSE10Addick said:Anything over 6 miles as the Crow flies from the City of London is not London to me...1 -
Plus the centre of London is Charing Cross / Trafalgar Square - this is the point all road distances from London (i.e. on the M1 where it would have a sign saying 200 miles to London)
So if we say 6 miles as crow flies from there, Charlton isn't in London0 -
Welling is within the London Borough of Bexley and the historic county of Kent, and is approximately 10.5 miles (16.9 km) east-southeast of Charing Cross, the traditional centre of London

I chose the city as we're much closer to there than Palace are.Lordflashheart said:

Going by Trafalgar Square, we're only 0.5 miles closer...0
