Euell to be caretaker manager for the next 8 months as Jackson also walks with Bowyer, Gallen and Marshall
Nonef that current Coaching team will stay on, apart from Marshall who signed a 2 year deal.2 -

Ultimatum said:roseandcrown said:Ultimatum said:I am NOT claiming to be in the know. However, when Dalman was linked I asked the wife if they had a client by his name (not mentioning the company). It turns out he’s not, however, a colleague of hers is in a relationship with someone in his immediate family.
The colleague has said the deal is 110% on , deal is VERY close and “he is a really nice man”.
The colleague doesn’t know anything about football. The wife just mentioned it as I broke the news to her about Bowyer... she found this out yesterday and forgot to mention it!!
I do not know time frames or anymore than that. I just know the deal is still on ...

JamesSeed said:Heard slightly more positive news from Aussies just now. I was pretty despondent this morning, slightly less so now. At least they’re not completely out of the running.
Just really hope this saga is over soon because I don’t think I can genuinely take much more of this. It’s draining me.6 -

This is what it does. I just suggested shooting someone.

Keep pressing the "Roland Out" button at the foot of the page.
It makes me feel a bit better.
Press it enough times, and one day it will come true.

I haven't read all of the recent posts since the "statement", just because it is so depressing.
The idiotic owner has taken his idiocy to a new level. Surely he has to realise that Bowyer is an asset and should be offered a decent contract, not only to secure his services, but to reward him for his successes. The same applies to Aribo and Bauer. With the push for cost cutting it would appear to me that Duchatelet is penny wise but pound foolish.
Surely any prospective owner would want its assets secured and if they are not secured then the price of the club in any sale would be reduced.1 - Sponsored links:

When we were getting ready for the playoff semis, and I mean both games, there were two press releases from the club that seemed badly timed to me. Both of them seemed designed to alienate either the match day staff or the fans:
6th May (6 days before the semifinal 1st leg): Congratulates other promoted teams and managers, including Chris Wilder, continuing to complain about him not coming here, while simultaneously failing to congratulate his own manager on what was already a great achievement.
15th May (2 days before the semifinal second leg): The weird statement about the meeting at the Belgian Embassy - a meeting that happened on April 17th and was first reported on April 26th - criticising fans and, for some reason, publishing the CARD statement in its entirety.
At the time, I remember thinking “Why has he released this statement now?”
The congratulations were fair enough, but should’ve been bland, naming nobody from other clubs and including Bowyer in his congratulations, with an added “the job’s not complete yet” or something. The embassy rant just didn’t seem to be an issue that absolutely needed addressing at that time and I think he hoped both statements would be disruptive. Obviously not as disruptive as, say, hiring a hit man to take out a couple of our players, but just potentially disruptive enough to maybe get into a couple of heads, make the playing and management staff feel under appreciated or stir up arguments between sets of fans. Looking back, it seems to me that, as he obviously couldn’t say outright that he didn’t want promotion, he did some shitstirring. RD has said before that he’s not bothered about results and he’s complained about how financially tough the championship is.
He clearly doesn’t give a toss about our success, so is it beyond the realms of possibility that he didn’t want success on the field so he could pay Bowyer less, hire shitter, cheaper players, and muddle on losing slightly less money while he twats about royally fucking up the sale of the club?

Can I just point out that my slightly too long post was ‘liked’ by the king of long posts.
I feel I’ve arrived and can retire now!

Should have given him the 200k we spent on the striker. Rather survive on free transfers and loans than lose bow1

I’ve been a supporter for around 61 years, so I seen some good times, but more so the bad. Yesterday, was the worse I felt in that entire time. It was my low point. But today I feeling a little better, Red Henry saying there’s still a possibility that Lee might be staying, and me convincing myself that the takeover is nearing a completion, Red Henry is often correct, unfortunately I’m not, but what has changed my mood, it’s the thought that sometime, who’s know when, 24000 Charlton fans will gather at the Valley, stand and chant for the last time, we got Roland out. Through all the bad times it’s the fans that have got me through them, let’s hope Im still alive to join in that magical moment, if not I will be looking down as will 10 of thousands of other.7

This has to be pressure from the prospective buyers, after that statement and then to suddenly pen a new deal. Something is close.8

I agree, I think the takeover could be nearly there0 -

Roland has to call his preferred bidder and shake their hands now. His race has been run.2

How else can that bizarre statement last night be suddenly retracted in its entirety and Bowyer suddenly be signed up, happy and thanking Roland.
A. Roland was visited by three ghosts and woke up a changed man.
B. External powers sticking their ore in.
Is this finally the end of him?!10 -
I don't think we can read into this that a takeover is near. Otherwise it would surely be more than a 12 month contract? In fact it might mean the opposite, we are no closer.3

I think a 12 month contract is great for a new owner..they know he is a success and he is loved by the fans..moreso than curbs after just over a year ..he is cheap and loves the club...and if they don't like him they don't have to pay up a long expensive contract...
The only problem is if rd stays !0
