Trousers that have back pockets as part of the design but are, for some unfathomable reason stitched closed?
Are you meant to take the stitching out, like with a suit jacket ?
No,Steve! The reason is aesthetic: unstitch the pocket and - particularly in a cheap suit - you are left with nothing more than a 'hole'.
It also gives rise to put things in the pocket which ruins the line and shape of it. However, breast pockets may be unstitched to accommodate a pocket square.

I get that but would add, don't design with back pockets if not meant to be used!

Not so. Pockets are there to be used and should be unstitched.

The effort involved in getting your hands on a 'signed-for' delivery if you occupy any form of daytime employment requiring you to be out of the house.

Pushy salesmen......., my missus couldn’t get rid of one and I was just about to tell him to feck off when I thought I’d let Bailey and JJ back into the lounge, they could tell him through the open windows. Needless to say both boys ran to the open windows barking furiously and he took his leave, asking my missus “What was he selling” burglar alarms came the reply.

adverts that portray 40/50/60/70 year old 'consumers' as 17/18/19 year old know not a lot airheads .. whatever happened to growing up (not to say old) gracefully or even disgracefully when required and not being portrayed as soppy teenagers by condescending ad agency luvvies

Facial piercings, can't look at them. Have to look away when I see them, make me shudder. Can't imagine what some people are thinking.

  • Driving up to some temporary traffic lights, the car in front decided to stop as she was almost level with the lights, which had gone amber. She was then blocking the road and both of us had to reverse, luckily the car behind me had left a bit of room. The cars coming through still had to slow right down to get past.

It's people who jump temporary traffic lights that makes them get stuck on red at both ends

Yes but she'd already gone past the stop line.
