Personally never been his biggest fan but will give him a chance. He’s tidy in multiple areas without any outstanding attributes. Glad we have him but not expecting too much from him.Aethelstan said:
Not just you, cafcfan, but everyone seems to have written off Forster-Caskey in their ruminations on our midfield. Dozens of discussions about our present and potential midfielders, but he has hardly been mentioned.cafcfan1990 said:
I think a midfield of Gallagher, Cullen, Williams and whoever we can sign tomorrow will be our best one.
If and when fully fit, he would be well up to Championship standard. Evidence so far is that it is going to be a slower return to 100% fitness for him than for some players, but he will make it at some point this season.0 -

He doesn't have the balls for The Championship....0 -

I think his effectiveness depends on the strength of who he's playing with. He won't necessarily boss a midfield or run a game on his own but he does serve as a good outlet/partner to someone more dynamic.cafcfan1990 said:

A bit more definitive sounding than the last one3 -
My last day in office before leave. I need to complete 5 pieces of work before 5pm, ideally 7 pieces. Can I get it over the line? Will those 7 pieces of work be of a good enough standard for the rest of the year? Will my best and most popular piece of work transfer to a colleague in my absence?
And all this on transfer deadline day....17 -
Happy underwhelmed day all.3

West Brom fan on Field... Sounds like he'll replace Pratley and be Bielik's replacement in Midfield2
-
I have a good feeling about today,
2 mids one st ill be happy
2 and 2 ill be over the moon
Maybe we are going to be supprised for the first time in 4 years, that the old scroot has kinda backed Bowyer2 -
cant keep track what rumours are currently flying about
taylor we will know come 5pm or earlier, would be delighted if he announced he had signed a new contract0 -
Not sure on replace Pratley mate, a very welcome addition but I feel Pratley is gonna be massive for us in some games this season doing the donkey work.ForeverAddickted said:West Brom fan on Field... Sounds like he'll replace Pratley and be Bielik's replacement in Midfield
The squad rotation will be used to the max this year I reckon.

If Sam Field joins then I want to be up on redhenry levels of respect16 -
1 striker, 1 mid and taylor staying will do me - hope for and expect more but I would take that right now - would sooner use any extra wage money on sorting taylor out5
-
I reckon Pratley will often go back to the role he had last season where he'll either start or mainly be on the bench, if the latter then we'll see him around 70mins depending on the scoreCharltonparklane said:

Then you'll have games like Leeds etc. where he probably will start for his experience, sorry thats what I meant but understand people taking it the way you did with my poor phrase of words6 -
Loving our recruitment policy at the club, better than its been for years, young, on the way up, hungry players.
None of the 30 something loan's we used to get on the last hours of the window.5 -
Sorry didn’t realise I had to love every single player.Charltonparklane said:

Hahaha, don't have to love every player mate, it's more the fact he's played 2 hours 1st team football in a year.cafcfan1990 said:

We all going to have to give him a chance as we don't have a lot of options.0 -
Yes but he played before you know. I thought he was a very tidy League 1 player but I wouldn’t have had him in our team last year.Charltonparklane said:

Like last year I don’t think options are going to be limited in CM.0 -
How the the day will be judged depends almost entirely upon where LT will be lining up at 3.00 pm on Saturday.......dare I say it, but for most Charlton fans nothing else really matters.palarsehater said:cant keep track what rumours are currently flying about
