However, if we have brought no-one in for tomorrow's game, that will increase my neurosis level, that's for sure. In that respect I've got one question for those ITK at ground level. Does anybody know with any authority why we brought forward the game to tomorrow night? Right now, I cannot see a single advantage in playing terms to playing it tomorrow rather than next week. The only other rational reason I can think of for bringing it forward has very uncomfortable implications, reminding me of boatloads of rubber (you gotta be over 50 to know what I'm talking about there). But I am pretty sure there has to be a better explanation, anybody know?
I'd certainly appreciate some insight into this from the club.0 -

I'm with Rothko, it can only be to give us 10 days before Barnsley.4 -
I thought we might be going to Abu Dhabi for some warm weather training but doesn't look like it now based on TN's comments about going in May.0

Far too early to judge.
From Nimer's Instagram cock teasing to Southall's PR freight train you could be forgiven for thinking they're all image no substance, but after the lack of Belgian coms maybe we're just not used to it.
With only a couple of weeks in charge and what I'm guessing is their first jump into football ownership - during the window that plenty of bigger more established clubs have complained about (Arsene always hated it at arsenal) and given our position and form - I imagine it's not easy sorting deals for the sort of players we want.
Given their time in charge they shouldn't be criticised harshly just yet but nor should they be defended because "not Roland" they've made promises in regards to Bowyer and signings so they do have to deliver really, but, context ...
A mini 4 week review after the window has closed, and a proper performance evaluation end of season.

Too early to judge, ESI are still working with the foundations of sand left behind by RD. I think we will stay up (just!) this season, and LB will sign a contract, we will get a couple of decent loans in to help stave off going down. But if we dont do anything significant regarding squad building by July/August for 20/21, then Ill start to worry.3
-
If you think we will stay up (just!), would that not require any worry at all?0

Just sounds a bit sh1t or bust at the moment.
The plan is to get to The Prem in 5 years and then either look to sell at a profit or carry on.
Seems like an excellent plan to me.
Let's hope they can achieve it.6 - Sponsored links:

Let's hope can do it.
Five years is when they hope they can realise some value from their investment.
My guess is that they spend £100m (wild guess) on the club, ground, training ground, academy and buildings and players over five years at which point they can sell a percentage of the club to some rich people in the Middle East but retain their roles as CEO and Owner.3 -

PR and just PR is spin, there is a fine line between the two.
No need for us to know how much wedge the "owners" have as Roland had the money but wasn't going to spend it.However only a week ago we were "fecking rich" now we don't appear to be anywhere near minted.
We needed to know who owns the Valley etc it's our HOME,the fact we were not is at best a mistake and at worst its deliberately misleading. They would have to admit they are renting the Valley off Roland !

Well there is the meet on Friday now, which is an encouraging sign, and doubtless if we lose tomorrow someone will ask the question. There are of course many more important questions which will be asked...1

Yes my comment is sarcastic but it's a valid point.1 -

Ok not ITK but I think the issue that MS has said supporters might not like in Feb is they actually have no real money. They are contracted to purchase the main assets in 6 months and are looking for investors. Roland is getting rent and if ESI pull out he gets a payment for breaking the agreement.
The above might be bollox but if we are still feeding from Poundland in the transfer market i guess we will know in the legendary two weeks. At the beginning of Feb.0 -
