*******Bowyer SIGNED 3 YEAR DEAL (page 27 onwards )******

Great news that the manager situation is sorted. Hopefully with a bit of certainty we'll see some signings now.2
-
It is a trade off between year 5 which was always likely to mean 4.5yrs (nobody runs a contract to mid season) to 3.5yrs and an adjustment to the financial terms. The reduced term especially If the club retain a 1 year option reduces their overall liability upon any termination.
Sensible outcome after a very messy process.
Next time guys keep it behind closed doors. The negativity surrounding the deal was a totally unnecessary distraction from the project in hand.
Had ESI and Bowyer simply announced new 3.5yr contracts for Bowyer and his coaching staff after 3 weeks in situ then we would be singing their praises and rightly so.
There really are times to not shoot yourself in the foot - no matter the personal temptation.
Perhaps we can all now get on with the job in hand.
Congratulations to all parties

Definitely eased a bit of my stress. Now, what we need to do is find the players who will buy into the Bowyer ethos. I think with Gallen doing the groundwork and LB assessing potentials we could be heading into easier waters. The Charlton way is assured for at least three years.1

£2k a week is probably the best bit of business this club has done in many years. We've had players stealing a living for many multiples of that. Lee will pay the wages back by the bucket load I have no doubt. Been refreshing this site for three weeks in anticipation of this news. Finally now we can get on with other business.2

Great news! Let's not forget this is a new relationship between LB and MS. LB has never had an Executive Chairman at the club and MS has never been an Executive Chairman of a football club before.
Hope this signals the proper start of a stable, respectful and successful working partnership.9 -
We are nailed on beating Fulham. What's wrong with people?1

Whatever the actual figure, if he is on anything near an average first team player, of which it is known that ours are paid less than many others in the championship, then he is worth it, is the point I was attempting to make.0 -
Bloody great news, now let ESI and Bowyer get on with their job and see where it takes us!!! Live, Love, Laugh and be happy!!!0

‘New’ manager bounce4

Fantastic news that BOW has finally put pen to paper.
at least it will shut some of the negativity up and
silence the IDIOT who said he did not deserve one
as we had only won once in 16 Games.
with a injured team and no money up to 3 weeks
ago under Roland Rat that was a seriously moronic comment to make.
well done LEE BOWYER and good luck 👍👍👍

Very happy
Seems like Lee got the deal he wanted in the end and Charlton got the manager it needed.
