    Be Here Now is a giant of an album that people weirdly and unfairly have a downer on
    Spot on. Can’t think of a better three consecutive albums. All class in their own right. What’s the story probably my favourite. The other two I couldn’t call.

    I was torn between either of those bunch of three and also from the river to born in the USA via
    nebraska.
    There’s something about Nebraska, I don’t think I could say it’s my favourite Springsteen album (I’m not even sure that it’s one of my favourite Springsteen albums) but it just sounds so unique that it’s got to be included in any trio of his greatest stuff.

    100%.

    Depending on my mood, Nebraska can be my go to Springsteen album. It's different in so many ways to a typical Springsteen album - dark, moody and deeply thought provoking.

    Be Here Now is excellent 

    Plenty of bang for your buck, you can't level the songs not meaning anything or making sense because none of Noel Gallaghers music does, and I bet he would tell you that as well whereas Springsteen's is charged and has a narrative. 

    The Be Here Now tracks that, off the top of my head, stand the test of time and would be enormous if released today

    I've heard Noel Gallagher talk about the album before in interviews and his main gripe is that it was written at a pretty unhappy time of his life and it was over produced. The songs are long and complex arrangements and it doesn't sound as raw as the first two but they released those two in such quick succession they kept the same sound whereas the third album is a world away from what's the story. 

    Say what you will about Noel Gallagher he knows how to write a chorus 

    I hear ya @bobmunro we normally agree but I'm standing my ground on this one, we can argue the toss when Lew Smith fights Ritson for the world title in London and we are there to see it ;-)

    That's proper mid-season form. All outstanding albums.
    For a band where you cant understand a word they're singing (barring the very rare ones in English) Sigur Ros are brilliant. Jonsi's solo stuff has also been very good.

    Indeed if you skip Be Here Now, the b side compilation The Masterplan, released a year later would make an excellent 3rd album

    Harvest, On The Beach and Tonight's the Night (recorded before OTB but released after).

    Wouldn't argue if you joined Harvest up with Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and After The Goldrush but for me the last two would be to similar.
