Great news and feels genuine from Josh. Agree that it does seem pointed but rightly so. He cares about doing his best for Charlton. Lyle looks after himself.

    Thanks Josh. Proper player.
  • Kinsella was/is in my top 5 of my favourite players since I've followed Charlton, For technical ability, Cullen is the closet to MKI've seen. Loved MK, love watching Cullen.

Cullen is a key player if we are to survive.

The fella is a good egg and a mustard footballer.
We need him fit for every game if we are to survive.

Remember, players whose contracts end 30 June,  Championship teams will now have until June 23 to offer those players the new extended contracts.

Clubs looking to make new signings cannot approach players who will be out of contract on June 30 until June 24.

The changes bring the EFL in line with the Premier League.

                                 Phillips
    Matthews    Pearce   Pratley    Sarr   Doughty
                                   Cullen
                     Williams              Oztumer
                                    Aneke
                                    Bonne

I don't think this is too shoddy.

Is Lockyer injured? Not sure I'd fancy Pearce on the right side of defence.

Midfield is a bit on the short side (height wise).

Yes it is short, but skilful - McGeady to add too. We have three big centre halves to compensate. I think we may need Pearce's leadership for the battles ahead. A problem is the squad isn't strong enough, but a nine game season will suit us.

I'd rather Pratley or Field at the base, Cullen to me should be in the middle, as Oz and Williams are a bit lightweight

I'd definitely have Field in there, we didn't see the best of him. Will make us more solid than starting both Oz and Williams.

We've had Cullen for 2 seasons now. He's a loan player, but keen enough to come back to Charlton for a second year.

And what ability, commitment and professionalism he's shown.
We've had value from him as if he'd  been signed on a 2 year permanent contract.

A proper 'Charlton type' player. Thank you, Josh.

  • Love Cullen...hope we get to see him live in a red & white shirt again, it’s a long shot, who knows...but if it’s not to be,he will still go down as one of my fav loanees & someone who made a big impact on our recent history...respect to ya Josh...👏👏👏

I love him. Comes across as a very humble and intelligent young man. He may not be our player but we should be proud of him.

IF only the assembled group of fuck muppets who have had their hands in the CAFC pie the last couple of years had as much class as you Josh.

    Thankyou

One positive of relegation, zero chance of having him play against us next season. Don't think my heart could take that.

Will be hugely missed, think we all knew he'd be elsewhere regardless of what division we were in. Been a pleasure to have seen him play for us and definitely one of those I will look out for and hope he goes on to have a great career.
  • Thanks for all your hard work and commitment, Josh. Hope you go on to great things.

Will always remember him for that day.
  • Gutted we're not gonna see him in a Charlton shirt again. Nothing but admiration for the lad.

Worth remembering how quick he returned from that dislocated shoulder at Walsall....and how fit he looked straight away. None of this "he needs to build up minutes"...just full on 90 mins, like players used to manage.
