There is obviously a player in there somewhere but at the moment nothing is working for Bonne. When long balls are played up to him it is a waste of time he hardly ever wins the ball. He does not make any decent runs to stretch the defence or create space and he misses too many chances when they do fall to him. Its asking to much of him at the moment for him to be our main striker. Fortunately LB stated that today so expect a striker signed up soon. Maybe send Bonne out on loan for this season or if clubs are offering decent money for him then I would sell him7

Definitely not a good result but not unexpected either. I only wish we’d played a better team as we could have done without losing to a team we would be looking to get 3 points from. The fact is, we needed to bring more than two players in by today and even then they wouldn’t have had enough time to settle in. That defence isn’t fit for purpose; Akin was only fit to play 60 minutes, Oshilaja is a bottom half L1 centre back and Barker is a 17 year old CB playing RB. On top of that we need depth on the wing, at holding midfield and especially up front. Hopefully ahead of the next game we’ll have addressed some of those problem areas, but it will still take time. The only really worrying thing is that Bowyer’s teams normally start really well, and all the confusion at the start of this season has robbed us of that, so we’ll have to pray we avoid the sag in the middle if we don’t shape up soon2

Bite QPRs hand off for 750k for Bonnie and get some decent strikers in1

Very frustrating. Two late goals in each half flattered them. If we’d taken those chances in the first half, I’m sure we would have relaxed into the game and won it comfortably. Young Dylan looked good and Oz had a good game too. Was surprised they were taken off so soon. Once Watson settles in, think he’ll be alright. But we desperately need strikers. Oh well, it’s been a good week. Shame it couldn’t have been perfect1

I think Bonne plays better when he has a bit more space. To get the most from him you have to find ways of achieving that. Of course after they took the lead, Lincoln tactically put more bodies behind the ball.
I thought our attacks were too slow in the second half, we went backwards with the easy but ineffective ball too often and didn't get numbers in the box enough which made it easier for them to suffocate Bonne and Washington.
It would have been an idea to take Bonne off though and Davison's physicality may have given their defenders more problems.3 -
Amazing how a defeat brings out the gloom and doom merchants.
We'll be bringing in new players, we have a new board, a new confidence around the training ground will see us improve.
Patience people.23 -
Once again ,we have lost a game through conceding late goals, and crap refereeing.
Then Oshi makes a ridiculous back pass which goes out of play and they score from the corner ,the scorer unmarked.
The new lads played well, but Bonne looked all over the place, oshi terrified me every time he went near the ball and an opponent.Plenty of play in their area, but other than Washington early on ,no clear chances.Desperately need someone up front who can hold the ball up and bring midfield into play.1 -

It isn't doom and gloom. We should be optimistic when we have several new signings of decent quality in. But a fair commentary on what we saw today can't be a jolly one.
What every manager should do at any level is if a player is not playing well, sub them if possible. Then don't criticise them at all. Speak to them, one to one, at training the next day or two days later and ask them what they felt about the game and their performance. It is amazing how they will be critical of themselves and the point hits. When you do it in the heat of the moment, the player gets defensive in his head and the point misses.1 -

They can't say that as we will probably be seeing a totally different team. I do believe we have quite a few players above the level already and today was disapointing. But it doesn't mean we won't get promoted, agree with that.1

Doughty should be taking games like this by the scruff of the neck....but looked pretty average today. Oshilaja is pants. The way he gifted them the corner for the 2nd goal is inexcusable.Don’t get the Williams thing - fit enough to start for Wales but not in league 1? Don’t understand it.And Bonne - he doesn’t offer us very much at all.We are 6 players short.1

only have Davison, plus a on/off fit Chucks.
Thing is can't see QPR hanging around for ever2 -

The fact is we had good chances to score in the first half, and failed by a mixture of bad luck (deflected shots) and bad finishing (Conor Washington in the third minute).
The second half was piss-poor. Did we have an accurate attempt on goal? The final ball was lacking. Lincoln aren't much of a team - unlike Donny last week - so to lose with barely a whimper shows how far we fall short.
The penalty aside, Pratley had a strong game as usual - making sharp interceptions and getting stuck in. No-one else played well. Doughty makes too many errors in possession. Some players were insipid to the point of anonymous: Bonne, Washington, Barker, Levitt, Forster-Caskey...
We need better players. And soon.

Bowyer has gone on record saying we need 7/8 minimum new faces in
just to try and get the numbers back to sensible levels, so agree well
pissed off today, but Tommo has only been here 2 days, and hopefully
some good news before next week, certainly need it7 -

I want us to win, I want us to go up ... but a few days ago all I wanted was still to have a club ... so I’ll accept a season of consolidation.
(Would still like to go up though)

Write that one off, let’s see how we look at the end of the transfer window and when Bows has had a couple of months to gel them
love his post match interview2 -
Plenty of positives today. Just a shame that we didn’t get the luck and take our chances. Thought Levitt was class and showed some lovely touches. Purrington had a good showing and looked dangerous going forward.
A right back is a must. Matthews is so important to the way we play. Still think we will win promotion this season.Play off final victory against Sunderland again.1 -
Disappointed, but we are some weeks behind others in terms of getting our squad together.
Plenty of time to catch up!2 -
What a load of Bradley.0

It’s very unlikely that we will get promoted this season and that’s ok. It’ll take more than a few signings to fix the years of negligence that this football club has suffered.5 -
Let’s just trust Lee,Gallen & Tommy to rebuild us...we were always gonna struggle 1st few games in this shite league,.it’s a long season & we will be fine once the bodies come through the doors...have faith...!!

Gives me no pleasure to say it but I'm glad everyone is seeing in Bonne now what I've been seeing since the start and getting pelters for saying so. National league class player at best.5
