Call the agents bluff- sign for us by Wednesday or we are on to pastures new.
With the way the economy is going there will be plenty of players scrambling for spaces in the last weeks of the window.0 -

Having played three cup games already, it feels like we are further into our season than we are. We are just three league games in with a win under our belts using a team which should be doing a bit better.I think our signings so far (on paper) look alright, it is now a question of whether having lined up a number of players on our pre-Sandgaard ownership LB and SG have those players still available to them and want them or whether they have better players in their sights for more £s? Hopefully the latter. If it takes a week or so more to bring the quality in that we will need to have a right go at promotion this season, then I am happy to wait. I had not heard of most of the players that worked well for us on the pitch over the last few years (T*ylor, Sarr and Bauer to name but a few), but given a bit of support SG and LB have proven that they can unearth some pretty decent players. All that said, I do hope Matthews is persuaded to commit, as he impressed last season, let alone what he could do this...3

Maybe Thomas would be willing to fund a "cherry on the cake signing" if Bowyer convinced him it would make a different.
I refuse to use the M word.0 -
what did rich's tweet say?0

I wonder if it's possible our targets have now changed given we now presumably have a budget to work with.1

No idea who this kid is but surely we are now in a position to aim higher than a player who was at a team in Div One Central of the Southern League?!

What is this snobbery about taking youngsters from non league? He’s clearly one for the u23’s and a very talented lad by the looks of it34

I have no idea how good he is now, I don't think I have seen him at all since he left Newcastle.0 -
There are many players released from league clubs. Many even drop out of the league altogether. However, some when they are signed by another league club and go on to make successful careers. One example is a certain Jamie Vardy.....

If it is him then no harm in getting minutes with the U23's Could he be registered to play against Brighton Wednesday?
I would take him or Lynch as cover but not as first choice.0 - Sponsored links:

the guy played for Newcastle with bowyer and they might be mates, he is also from Greenwich and is looking to move home. He might have called bowyer and bowyer night have told him he can come and train with us, But if offered a deal he will be back up to the back ups with limited game time, he might do some coaching with the u-18’s to get around salary caps. If he is signed on this basis then fairly low risk, if signed to play then I agree, basement shopping list1 -
Fook, just when you need Mouthall's strategic transfer window skills...

A couple of thoughts: We desperately need a midfielder who can score goals. Maddison is that sort of player. I am still scratching my head thinking about all the chances Bowyer said our strikers missed yesterday. Washington early doors yes. Then we are talking about half chances at best.0

I appreciate the fact that we need to add numbers to the defence along with a decent striker but also there is imo an urgent need for a creative midfielder, I just dont get the whole JW thing, he cant seem to last more that 30 mins of a game and even when he is on the pitch he imo runs around in circles falling over alot, he doesnt seem to create much other than free kicks awarded when he takes a tumble0
