Woaaaaaaaaooooowwwww... Bows lost it, how can you scapegoat Maddisson!?!?
Tonight shows its never personal with him
I've seen performances like tonight where the players would be jeered off the pitch with chants of: "Your not fit to wear the shirt" - But its only ever the Managers fault on here
Do you seriously think the players in that dressing room want or need to be slated live on air, and if when they hear it they'll be well up for the next game?
He picks the team, the tactics, the formation, yet blames everyone else when it goes wrong. He chops and changes from one game to the next, couldn't tell you his best team or formation and we're in January. In addition i don't think i've ever known a manager make so many subs at half time which suggests he doesn't trust who he starts with.
Not once have i ever heard him say 'i pick the team, i take full responsibility'. We've been a joke for weeks aside from 45 minutes against Wimbledon and i'm sick and tired of him blaming everyone else.
But when does a Manager ever come out and do that, I cant ever recall a Manager at any level taking the responsibility for a defeat
If anything you're right it is one of the infuriating things about them at times because its always someone elses fault, on this occasion (same with recent weeks) I feel it is!!3 -
Bailey said:Maddison is a waster, blaming Bowyer for naming and shaming is shocking. He is dead right about some of those players, the kids like Maatsen Morgan you can pass off as a learning curve but time and time again senior professionals like Williams, Maddison and now Pearce have let him down. Pearce knows he's playing next game so instead of wacking the ball off for a corner he tries a chancy header. Bowyer is paying the price for injuries, suspensions and having to cobble together a side with a bunch of players nobody else wanted, who are looking for a pay cheque.2

Sack Bows, Gallen is suddenly useless and so on.Of all the finger pointing blamers, not one commented on how useful Millar looks. I was ticked when he was taken off, tbh.We had our moments, especially in the first half, with two pacey wingers and I thought we were on to something but too many passes and especially crosses lacked the quality required, although there was no lack of effort. Accrington gave us a lesson in how to defend and overall were much better organised as a unit. Two shambolic moments in our defence and Bishop took his chances. That's it.I don't think it's the end of the world.0

I didn't see Bowyer's interview. Did he say we were the best team?7

Millar was taken off because we can't have a creative player playing more than an hour15

Just guessing, Lee ...
Presumably the 'Pearcey' error changed the game? But, hey, it is what it is. We go again against Rochdow. That's the most important fing.

I have never been part of the "Bowyer Out" brigade, I've been a more cautious member of @ForeverAddickted's group.
However, after this evenings post-match interview I think the manager has had enough.
He hasn't just thrown a player or two under the bus, he's put on full Rambo outfit, lobbed a couple of smoke grenades into the dressing room and started spraying bullets everywhere.
There can't be a player left in that squad who'd want to run through brick walls for the boss.
It's a sad day for the Charlton Athletic Football Club.24 -

From kick off only only one team in it.0

Aite, Bowyers on a mental one now, think it's time to go. No way would I be happy or want to be in a side where the manager mugs you off every week.1

Someone should have seen Bowyer's mood and sent Jacko out for the interview, even if he hasn't lost the dressing room there are now a few players who most definitely don't want to play for him now.10

Bowyer isnt asking him to make a full blooded tackle
Watch Accrington all game, they were getting bodies in the way of anything that was aimed towards goal2 -
Bowyer is embarrassing himself. Someone needs to take him out of the spotlight. That interview was cringe worthy and both Powell and Cook called him out on it.Talking about Maddison like that is bang out of order. He looked like he has picked up a nasty injury there. Before he comes out and slaughters players he needs to ask himself what he got right tonight. My thoughts are very little. Accrington set up with a 5 man midfield and we go with 3 even though both our holding midfielders are out. He keeps picking Forster-Caskey and Gilbey who are both so poor at the moment. The stat before the game was unreal. What was it? 58 team changes this season.Sure the players need to take some responsibility and injuries are hurting us, but the captain of the ship needs to steer it and at the moment it's a very unhappy crew and I don't believe Bowyer will get that dressing room back. Anything short of a win Tuesday and I think he is done.7

Paul Cook anyone?
In all seriousness, I like Bowyer and no one can take away whats he done but he's ran out of ideas. How he is talking about the players should be kept in the dressing room.
They aren't playing well but they aren't being motivated properly. I just can't see how things will change as it stands.4 -
Oh please can you listen to me and play Williams and Maddison pleaseeeee.
Wind it in lads0 -
Oshilaja on his backside in the area 3 times in 10 seconds for their second goal -sums it up. Absolute tosh! Puny, clueless, devoid of desire or any game plan, running through treacle by the look of it.
How much lower can we sink?0 -

You don't do what he is doing, for what the club are probably paying, if you don't have the itch.....
I am not suggesting be would stab Lee in the back but.0 -

I thought he was okay today, one of our better players for sure. Was taken off because he put a bad cross in when we had players in the box. He was gutted about the cross and more so when taken off.0 -
peterreeves said:That was awful... Not sure if they knew each other. Might be wrong but I reckon lose to Rochdale and it could be taxi for Lee Bowyer.
Don't like it but I just think he hasn't got the knowhow to make this team play!

I've heard LB call out Morgan in the past and then Bogle, then Williams and now Maddison...
Its unprofessional and shows a complete lack of man management and inexperience.
That dressing room is probably toxic by now but saying you don't care about a player if he got injured or not is the last straw irrespective of who he is and what he did....
I can't imagine TS will be pleased and this can't be overlooked.
Bye Lee.... Thanks for the memories but you did this yourself!4
