Scored goals in non league & one season in league two, he's not done much after that ?Oggy Red said:
I don't know ..... Bogle is competitive, strong and mobile, scored goals in his time.CafcSCP said:He did his best, and I wish him the best, but it’s a strange bit of business from a Doncaster perspective.
Decent bit of squad cover from Donny's point of view, I reckon.
They'll think they can get him back more towards his best ..... and if they do, he'll be a bargain for them.1 -
No but has been permanent employed and signed by some well respected managers and judges of a player. I said this when we signed him and Maddison too many people signed Bogle for him to be as useless as some make out and too many people didn't sign Maddison for the opposite to be true as well.charltonbob said:

Clearly wasn’t up to the standard we wanted but he was a last minute panic buy and it hasn’t worked out. But throughout it all he seems to have been a model pro and decent guy who tries hard. In everyone’s interest that he’s gone and I wish him the best of luck. Surprised he’s got another league 1 gig but Donny might get more of a tune out of him than we did.0
-
He won’t get on my ‘worst players to wear the shirt’ list but obviously absolutely nowhere near the best, Bogle was just one of those signings that didn’t work out for either the club or the player. It happens. Hopefully his departure makes space to bring in someone who will enhance the team in some capacity or other and he goes on to be ok for Doncaster.
I just feel for the player that the dickheads in our fan base will inevitably set their sights on now.4 -
Well I think we both know that we're not going to agree on Bogle but I take your point on Maddison.Cafc43v3r said:

Didn't think we hated Doncaster that much. Awful player.4

Bogle's had one of those frustrating seasons that needed to kick on but has fizzled out. He's a grafter, who is lacking a run of luck. Some times it just doesn't work. I have felt the same about Chuks at times. His lack of ability to put the ball in the net infuriates me, but it does with whoever misses golden chances. Miss too many and it becomes a millstone that sometimes weighs so heavy the player continues to make mistakes. I wish him well and Donny might just be the right home for him. Donny are fit and effective at what they do. They are a top half side who might just get better out of Bogle than we have.1

You disagree @Mendonca? You think that Bogle will score more than 4 goals for Doncaster between now and the season end?Todds_right_hook said:If bogle scores tomorrow, imagine the overaction on here to us getting rid. Especially if we don’t score.
bogle was not very good for us and I don’t think he will be a first team regular for Doncaster. Although some players are just the wrong fit. We needed a striker late in the window and he needed a club. Probably not a great reason for either party.
stockley appears to be a bowyer target, bogle was available! Bogle probably always felt like he was the last kid to be picked which didn’t help his confidence.
doncaster signing him seems to be for the same reason, they need a striker and he needs to move.
I seriously doubt he will score more than 4 between now and the season end or will score more than stockley or Schwartz.
£10 to the upbeats that he doesnt score more than 4 league goals for Doncaster this season?0 -

Why hasn’t Bogle been treated well by Charlton?Showmetheway2gohome said:Good luck Omar we’ve had worse players. Don’t think you’ve been treated well at our club.
That’s football everyone needs to blame someone when things don’t go right it’s the nature of football. No doubt if you score against us we should resign you like the lad Pigott that got slatted after we lost to millwall. Good to see him rise again.
We gave him a contract when he had no better offers, we gave him quite a lot of game time, it hasn’t worked out so we’ve allowed him to leave before the end of his contract and sign a longer term deal somewhere else.

Poor player who when asked to do the things Bowyer wanted failed time and time again. Williams and Madison next please, all three will not be here next season rather we got rid now.1

Doncaster are more than a top half side. They're 4th with FOUR games in hand on us. They've also got 2 games on hand on leaders Lincoln, so genuine automatic contendersThe Prince-e-Paul said:Bogle's had one of those frustrating seasons that needed to kick on but has fizzled out. Seems to be the popular assumption now but it hasn't stopped him getting a longer deal at a club higher in the league than us.
I don't think Big Darren Moore has signed him on scouting reports on his performances for us has he?0 -
On that basis, is it okay for posters to raise it as a point to note when he doesnt score?addick1956 said:

It is interesting that he has an 18 month contract so that suggests forward planning. It also suggests that either Bogle stuck for the same type of contract as here or Darren Moore rates him morec highly than the ' experts' on here.
Experts whose assessments on ability are either ' Brill ' or ' dog shite' and nothing remotely using an accurate and reasonable description.
an 18 month contract doesnt suggest that a manager rates him. I would say a 2 year contract would be cautious on Doncasters part, 3 years would show they really want him. 18 months is fairly low risk.
Or bowyer sees him in training, sees him not doing what he has asked him to do on the pitch and see's him as what he is and has got rid, despite some of the 'experts' on here thinking 2 goals in 16 is a good return for a striker.2 -
And now they’ve got Bogle to join their strike force and put away the chanceskillerandflash said:

Would you have kept Bogle rather than Aneke, Stockley, Washington or Schwartz as our budget meant one of them had to leave/couldn't be signed.2 -

He has pretty much showed every where he’s been since Grimsby that League 2 is the pinnacle of his level. I will be amazed if he starts banging in the goals at Accrington as he has yet to do this at a number of clubs now.Cardinal Sin said:
If we are honest, he rarely had a second touch, let alone a third. He might have tried his best but it was nowhere near good enough and it's no surprise we have signed two strikers this window and he's moving on. I am really pleased he is at Doncaster.seth plum said:Good luck to the lad.
It used to be said that Jason Euell had an average first touch but the best second touch in football.
In my view by contrast and weirdly, Omar has a good first touch but a not great second and third touch.
If Darren Moore can get Omar to shovel the ball on quickly it might work.
Good luck to him, he always tried and wouldn't hide.1 -

He's gone to Doncaster.12 -
No one else concerned Bogie is going to reveal all our tactical masterplans to a fellow top 6 side?
...thought not.
He didn't have a scooby what they were when he was here!!1 -
Good luck to him at Doncaster, and thanks for the memories.0

It just didn’t work out for either party, but I always felt he tried his hardest for us in the short time he was here. Good luck to him4

I dont understand why people are giving him credit for trying his hardest. Gunter and Pearce try their hardest when they are a centre back pairing.cabbles said:It just didn’t work out for either party, but I always felt he tried his hardest for us in the short time he was here. Good luck to him
Bogle is paid to play football professionally, why would he not try his hardest?0 -
It's not giving him credit, it's understanding why he hasn't done better. He simply wasn't good enough despite his efforts.Todds_right_hook said:

“I always said he was great for us” ... “the 2020/21 scapegoat” ... “remember Simon Francis ?” .. when he is playing for Donny in the championship next year2
