Great picture in the article. Shows his strength. Guessing we buy him back if we go up is the clause?ForeverAddickted said:We have a buy back clause so definitely done with the Salary Cap in mind!!

I think it's more to cover us in case he suddenly comes good...ForeverAddickted said:We have a buy back clause so definitely done with the Salary Cap in mind!!

The guy next to him in the photo has some serious hair!

After seeing he'd left my first thought was why on earth we never insert buy-back clauses like lots of clubs do. Lo and behold, I see 5 minutes later that we have! Smart move, sell on clause involved as well... A sign of good, long-term leadership, at lastForeverAddickted said:We have a buy back clause so definitely done with the Salary Cap in mind!!

Sounds like our Lee.ForeverAddickted said:0 -
What a strange sounding story.
With my "would I lie to you" hat on, I'm saying true, as it sounds to odd to be made up1 -

Seems a very basic story to me... Surely has to be more behind it3

We've heard similarly odd stories lately haven't we?ForeverAddickted said:Seems a very basic story to me... Surely has to be more behind it
Each time I hear more it adds to my concern. Smoke and Fire and all that.

Was it a Sierra Cosworth?

Other u23s have broken through and improved under Bowyer, maybe they just don’t think he’s good enough at the moment. They clearly think he has potential given the buy out clause.4

Feels like someone who might know more about what's gone on (if anything) will pop up and say "that's one way of looking at it"ForeverAddickted said:Seems a very basic story to me... Surely has to be more behind it2 -
Wasn't a second hand Range Rover he bought?3

What exactly is a buy-back clause and how might that work? Just first refusal if they want to move him on?0
-
I imagine we've got X number of years to buy him back at X amountvalleynick66 said:What exactly is a buy-back clause and how might that work? Just first refusal if they want to move him on?
We can probably exercise that at any point
e.g. If Man Utd suddenly want him for £15m yet our deal with them is £500k, we have the right to buy him back and then sell him on to Man Utd for that £15m ourselves - Its effectively what Barcelona and Real Madrid did with Deulofeu and Morata1 -
Depends, you can have a fixed price or if someone else has a bid accepted you basically have first refusal to match it.valleynick66 said:What exactly is a buy-back clause and how might that work? Just first refusal if they want to move him on?0 -
I read that and thought, he's a creep, he's a Wiredu ..... what the hell was he doing here? He don't belong here.AFKABartram said:

Whenever I see his name I get an earworm of the old comedy record, 'I'm so straight I'm a Wiredu'.Off_it said:

I liked him and hoped he would come through as he had pace and strength. I hope he has a successful career and would be nice if he did come back.2

I too thought he would come into the senior team. I don't think he will be back after reading his farewell but I do expect him to go on and be a good player. Probably do a season at Colchester then go straight to a Championship clubRedrobo said:I liked him and hoped he would come through as he had pace and strength. Not bothered. Would have made it here by now if he was going to but good luck to the lad.1

That is my one major issue with Bowyer.2121 said:

He has never looked at trying any of them apart from Barker, and that was forced on him. He then was dropped and never even got a chance on the bench when we had major defense injuries. A young player does well then you surely keep him in around the squad and try and nurture that?
He don't seem interested in doing that and it's bothering me. All good managers should recognise good youngsters and at least give them a chance2
