But having just walked around there now I think it’s a bit fishy what with 3 and a half hours to go still....Fumbluff said:
It was bitterly cold around there yesterday...ForeverAddickted said:AFC Wimbledon v Rochdale is off0 -
You've got to fancy the northern team when the weather's like this. If (big if) the game goes ahead I reckon we'll smash the Southern Jessies. 4-0 The Addicks.7

We find the vaccine to golfie19 and win after conceding first6

Don’t they usually drag in a local ref to inspect it early if there’s a chance it could be off?2

            1pm inspection, I would say it's in doubt now0

How do you get the tweets embedded 👀0 -
Yeah, if they can’t say it’s going ahead now I don’t reckon it will get much better by 10

Thibk refereree is pointing towards the corner of the ground. You can hear groundsman saying he can get something over them areas. I'd imagine it'd the corner where the big screen is1

Cant they do the pitch inspection at 1pm and then 2pm...
Its not like we need the pitch to drain of water like the Pompey game0 -
Can’t you delay kick-off an hour or two? That’s surely better than cramming in a Tuesday night fixture later down the line.If it’s not okay now I can’t see it being any better in 40 minutes2

Yup and due to circumstances I can't see why you can't have 1 at 3 and kick off at 4.ForeverAddickted said:Cant they do the pitch inspection at 1pm and then 2pm...

They're using spot heaters to thaw it.Alwaysneil said:Yeah, if they can’t say it’s going ahead now I don’t reckon it will get much better by 13 -

It's been in doubt since Monday when I looked at the weather forecast.Cafc43v3r said:1pm inspection, I would say it's in doubt now3 -
If it does get re-arranged there are only three dates it can be played!!

Depending on the size of the areas in question, you would imagine these would do the job.1 -

They have to think about the time it'll take the Gillingham team to move their caravans after the game though and find a new location to pitch upWK6824Nine said:I think it will go ahead if they delay it.0 -

I’m guessing the best we can probably hope for is deferring a final decision until a later pitch inspection at, say, 2 o’clock, if there’s a realistic prospect of the heaters thawing the frozen areas. It depends how widespread the problem is, I suppose1

I guess the issue with that is the later you start, it’s going to be minus temperatures again by time game ends. Yesterday, it was already -2 by 5pm.Cafc43v3r said:

The club message said a couple of areas. It didn't say how large those areas were though.0
