  • Aberdeen have appointed Stephen Glass as their new manager.

Glass began his career at Aberdeen, enjoying a four-year spell in the first team before moving on to Newcastle United. Spells at Watford, Hibs, Dunfermline Athletic and the Carolina Railhawks followed, with the midfielder winning one Scotland cap in 1998 against the Faroe Islands.

After retiring, he went on to spend two years as assistant manager at Shamrock Rovers, before taking up a role at Atlanta in 2017.

  • Roy Keane apparently taking over at Salford in the summer.
  • Every fan is against quick sackings. Until their own club does poorly and then the demand that heads roll right away.

Rumour he's going to go and join Wayne Rooney's Derby County... Unless you thought he would be off to Salford?

  • Didn't United have a bit of a restructuring recently?  Maybe Nicky Butt didn't get a promotion he was hoping for or something.

  • Harsh!
  • Very odd... They're seventh!!

The highest they have consistently been in living memory as well.

Probably been tapped up by a bigger club. Lump on the next manager at Welling.
  • Lost the big derby midweek but still seems very odd.

Over ambitious owner perhaps but he's spent a lot on the infrastructure at Hayes Lane in recent years.

    Howe and Wilder joint favourites.
I red earlier that they have the highest wage bill in the league.  No idea if it's true or not.  Not an easy place to attract non league players to on a 1 year contract though is it.

Be handy if you were a 35 year old player who insisted on living in Beckingham though :-)
  • Time for the Louis Mendez/ Roger Johnson dream team to take over

  • Beckingham? Where's that?

It's all go in Bromley today as the joint Cray Wanderers managers left.

No idea if they have been poached for the big job at Bromley FC.

Just down the road from Beckenham, just doesn't have a tram stop.

Ironically it actually would be a nice place to live if you played for Nottingham Forest https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beckingham,_Nottinghamshire
  • Played or just warmed the bench?

  • National League club Bromley have appointed Arsenal's head of goalkeeping Andy Woodman as their new first-team manager.

Woodman, 49, arrives with 15 years of coaching experience at West Ham, Charlton, Newcastle and Arsenal.

He joins the Ravens after spending the last three years with the Gunners and will take charge of his first game against Wealdstone on Friday.

Hiring a goalkeeper as a manager, what a daft idea :)
It's all the rage these days.

Odd choice but as Roger Johnson was joint caretaker I'm happy.

    Former Charlton coach under Pardew.

Southgate's good friend. An interesting choice as he has little non league experience

Quite a risk for him to take, leaving what I assume is a well paid job at Arsenal.

    So we’re we. 😂

Yeah but we didn't sack our manager..........
  • Maybe he'll be linked in another sense one day...
