An interesting decision to initially give them that short term deal rather than a proper contract. Should've probably got automatic promotion but ended up only just sneaking 7th after taking just 11 points from their last 10 games and scoring just 4 goals in their last 9.0 -
Dawes was in temporary charge prior to Hill being appointed and in that time Tranmere won four and drew one of their five games and scored 14 goals in the process. They've only won two of their last 11 matches and scored just seven goals in that time so perhaps their Chairman believed that the writing was on the wall for them and that Dawes might be able to galvanise the side again.ForeverAddickted said:
