  • So Bayern not content with snapping up the best players from their Bundesliga rivals have now decided to take a manager too.

Obviously they've done it with many Dortmund players in the past, also Neuer, Gnabry, Pavard, Goretzka, then this summer they'll be signing Upamecano from 2nd placed Leipzig, and now their manager too.

It's basically like Man City signing Van Dijk and Klopp.

Yes, whatever we might think of the Big 6, at least there's competition between the top clubs for trophies, players and managers

Surprised Oldham didn’t go for John Sheridan for the 18th time.
What I find quite incredible, is that the season hasn't finished, & he has managed 3 teams since the start of it, yet still finds himself out of work.

Average for his short tenure in Ireland, awful for Wigan & awful for Swindon.

I wonder if that is some kind of record?
In his last TEN managerial positions, the longest he's lasted for is 52 games, if there's such a thing as a journeyman manager, it's Sheridan!
The thing is he will get another job, gets sacked and then get another job. He either is very cheap or gives a damn good interview.
So just a lower grade Mourinho then?

It’s very dull. Basically the entire Bundesliga is a feeder club for one side.

  • So that's Nagelsmann and Ten Haag down, Rodgers too by all accounts (better off at Leicester anyway).

    Howe?  Sarri?

  • Yet another chairman falls for it.
  • It’s between Roma and Sassuolo for 7th place which gives a spot in next years UEFA conference league.
Chance of no European football at all for Roma.

  • Preston North End have appointed interim boss Frankie McAvoy as the club's new permanent head coach following the end of the season.

An interesting decision to initially give them that short term deal rather than a proper contract. I'd have though missing the playoffs would be considered a disappointment, considering the run-in they had

The classic case of the caretakers doing really well as short term temporary managers, but struggling more over a longer period

Both Bradford and Walsall are seriously underperforming

    Brave move...

How weird.  No weirder than Forest Green though sacking their manager whole actually  in the play off's with all to play for.

Hill is quite a good lower league  manager for all that. Back to Rochdale again ?

agree with this .. perhaps he asked for a pay rise and gave the chairman a heart attack
