What’s that, 23 changes in 4 games? That is not normal and not for good reasons. Add in Watson, who we all went into the summer thinking wouldn’t get a sniff, is the regular. All a total mess.
Don't understand this line of thinking for this game as to me all the changes make sense.

CBT was always going to start if he was fit, and rightfully so.

Gilbey has just come back from long covid, and Clare did well when he came on at the weekend.

Davison deserves to start instead Stockley.

Pearce for Famewo is not that unusual a swap considering Pearce is not undropable and has played a lot of minutes lately.

Soare does not look like he can play 2 games in quick succession so Purrington coming in makes sense as well.

Its not like Adkins is trying to play Paul Smyth at right back!
Perhaps they do make sense bad that still meant 19 changes in the 3 games before! Why’s it taken 10 games to get there.
Well, because the manager does not know his best XI. We might be getting close to it now, as it feels most fans are in agreement that this team is close to it.

If this team can't get the job done then I reckon it could be curtains for NA.
shame ol Nige didn't take the fans' advice a lot earlier .. let's hope it's better late than never

Come on then Charlton. Time to turn it around tonight. COYRs
  • Wonder if we have a minutes silence for ex Bolton player Roger Hunt.
Do hope the clubs do something.
Have his autograph on Bolton programme from The Valley.
    That'll be a "no" then.

Matthews definitely seems to have refound some bite in his tackling.

Bolton send a crossfield ball that bamboozles Matthews, but luckily ends up going down the tunnel.
  • Does look a shocker of a crowd but maybe the petrol situation has something to do with it.

Kirk must be regretting leaving Crewe. One poor half and never to be seen again. Same for DJ
Never? You know he’s not playing for the rest of the season?
Blimey mate . Chill out . Don’t take it literally
Sorry, in a mood about work, it wasn’t you! Hopefully can rely on Charlton to cheer me up…
  • On the face of it this early another team who play better football than us it appears.

Erk, Matthews goes in for the ball and misses, and Lavelle concedes a free kick about 15 yards from the RH corner of our area.

FK comes into the area but McG claims. Our fans complain as one of the Bolton players try to drag him about a bit.

We have a throw up on the RHS, Matthews takes long.

. whipped a free-kick into the box after @dapo_afolayan was fouled by Sam Lavelle, but the full-back's delivery was claimed confidently by Craig MacGillivray. 0-0 [4'] #BWFC

Bolton clear long and Famewo is a touch casual playing it back to McG, but we send it upfield and out for a throw.

Yep, good effort from them ... despite the bell ends in the Cupboard End saying their support is effing shit.

And now the Addams Family song ... god, I hate that ...

Ball comes to CBT, who puts a few good crosses in, and finally it's cleared and Purrington concedes a free kick near the edge of their area rather than allow a breakaway.
