Yes but none of it really went in I'm afraid. Usual dissection of the play and after about 30 seconds it was just white noise. I could see his lips moving but couldn't here a thing, certainly no apology for the crap that keeps being served up. Oh for an honest straight talking manager who tells it how it is. I think I’ve done about three drafts of this post trying to get my thoughts out cohesively and I can’t do it. No point in baying for Adkins head as any right minded owner would have sacked him long ago. This club is a mess and just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse it gives you another swift kick in the balls.2

Completely agree. We’ve conceded the second highest goals in the league so far, and the performances the likes of Famewo, Gunter, Matthews, Lavelle, Souare, Pearce, Purrington and Inniss have been turning in are criminal. I recall Matthews being a good example a few weeks back. Made the mistake of letting the Pompey bloke cut in after the first few minutes to score, and repeats his party trick a few days later in exactly the same position to let Bolton score.Another good example. How slow is MacGivillary at getting the ball out when he’s come and collected. It’s a massive part of modern football. People get through constipation quicker than he gets the ball out3 -

When things start going so bad for managers, I think it totally immoral that they can hang it out, waiting for their "golden fuck off" money. Regardless of contract, or what they might've done for the club previously. They were paid for that at the time ffs.
I'd have it so that they knew their position was under review at the end of every season and leading up to January. Even if it meant offering a slightly higher salary, reckon it would help stop this ridiculous situation where everyone, even the manager himself, knows its probably time for a change, but it's down to the Club to offer a massive amount of dough to pay him off for failing.
Look at it a bit like a builder, nausing your extension up, but coming back day in day out continuing to make a mess of it until you pay up what he quoted to prevent him causing any more damage. Add to that the fact these managers know full well money is short at these Clubs.

Yes, it was quite a long speech from Bob. Everything else aside, those two Pell free kicks were bloody marvellous, hard, accurate and both should have been goals. Shows what can happen when an underperforming player rebuilds themselves over years.

Didnt post last night, not read many other posts on here, but Im still bloody furious!! Only showed any spirit in last 10 mins, and Washington led that!! Adkins hasn't a clue im sorry to say, and there is little appetite in the squad it seems to fight for 90 mins!
Didn't sleep all fucking night as the thought of this famous club in League 2 (the old Div 4) is just not worth contemplating.
I've said before I'm not a hire em, sack em advocate, but Adkins HAS to go end of, and he has to go today. JJ and JE are not the answer either, its time for completely fresh blood and a new approach with tactics.

A really poxy night,got a call about 4 ish ,can I pick my nephew up from Bexleyheath as dad is ill(coward),so journey from medway even worse.Shocking first half,we did not string a pass together for the first ten minutes,while they played it about at will.Second half,well to be fair,plenty of good attacking play that should have resulted in a couple more goals,but then,two diabolical goals conceded,schoolboy errors,unforgivable.Then told that we cant exit east stand by Landsdowne mews exit,so all the way down to Hervey gardens to get back to car in Charlton Village.Almost half hour to get to Sun In Sands ,then get a call(wifes phone)A2 shut.Now to Bexleyheath,back to A2 off at Crayford to get to M20,got home 11.30,over 6 hours of my life I wont get back.0

If NA is not willing to face the fact (proven time and time again this season) that, whatever permutation of players he selects, HIS SYSTEM DON'T WORK then he has to go.
We know that most of the players are individually good enough to be part of a competitive team in L1. That each and every one of them looks otherwise, I believe, is down to the fact that they know the system doesn't work and have lost all confidence in it - they find that the fellow red shirt they'd normally expect to see providing support or cover or showing for a pass simply ain't there and they make basic mistakes trying to compensate.
Why else would experienced players continually stand off opponents and allow them to get shots or crosses off in and around our box?
Why else would opponents be left regularly completely unmarked in front of goal?
Why else would defenders continually find no option but to lump it long or pass 30 yards back to MacG to do the same thing in vain search of a solitary and outnumbered centre forward?
You've got to wonder what the hell goes on on the training pitch at the moment under NA, especially in the context of the "25 clean sheets" objective.
It's surely been bleeding obvious since the early setbacks of the season that, as a first priority, WE MUST set up to maintain a SOLID shape and to stop shipping soft goals. Whether that means as a 4-4-2 or with 5-3-2 is for debate but we clearly can't achieve it, other than on rare occasion, with any perm that NA's been willing to deploy this season.
That would give the defence the chance of functioning as a unit, with confidence of getting the defensive cover they need. As Curbs and Jon Fortune put it last it weekend, everyone understanding the defensive "rules" that we're playing by as a team and their role in the context of those rules.
If that means that we can't play the permutation of attacking players we'd like to and that some of the higher-profile signings of the last window are redundant for the time-being, so be it. That's a luxury we can't afford now because if we can't retain possession of the ball (and we patently can't with 4-2-3-1 or even 4-3-3 and the current midfielders in our squad) those attacking options are irrelevant and we'll keep shipping soft goals to ordinary teams.
But I'm afraid, I just can't see NA changing his spots and I strongly suspect (and hopefully anticipate) that he won't be in charge come Saturday.

Thought the game started fairly evenly and then the ref awarded a fifty fifty free kick to Accrington.Pell hit a worldly and all of a sudden it was Adkins’ fault. Covered End turn on him.Now I agree he’s made a massive mess and has to go soon, but there is a time and a place. Awful support.4

We're so clueless. Like the first 5 minutes at Lincoln, we started the second half well then reverted to our aimless, inept selves. Washington helped provided a few minutes of sparks then it was back to the listless bulls--t we've all become accustomed to. So it's like we did have something of a plan then forgot or chose to forget.
Our first goal was a simple one and showed how weak Accrington are (like most teams in this league) if you use width and low crosses rather than lumping it long. I'm past caring whose fault it is, any team in any division should be reconsidering their manager after 2 wins in 13. We are embarrassing.0 -

We were amazingly lucky to go in 1-1. We had no shots on target first half, and one shot off. They scored two goals and we were very lucky the 2nd didn't count. The first free kick Mac left far too big a target to aim for. The own goal was a nightmare for their Morgan, he has no need to do that. And my point is... how can we be so bad in that first half? The 3 up front were so far apart from each other, none of the midfield were pushing up, Morgan was spraying aimless punts all over the shop. Only Gilbey tried to get on the ball and move it. If you have to play that system, you have to work harder at getting up to support Stockley. He won a lot first half, but I can't think of a single second ball we picked up. This is basic.3

Mac is really not a good goalkeeper. I can see why the Cowley's let him go. His kicking his awful, he doesn't come for crosses and his shot-stopping is hardly brilliant.7
