I thought that may happen as Villa are an under 21 team
Rules only state that U21 teams have to play away in the Group Stages0 -
Was the same last year, all U21 sides played away from home in the knockouts.ForeverAddickted said:

One thing is for sure, if we play our kids Villa will murder us.0 -
Was that because they all got drawn away though?Chris_from_Sidcup said:

How stupid is this competition? Of course it isn’t worth Villa’s time and effort opening Villa Park for this nonsense.paulie8290 said:Charlton have confirmed the game is at The Valley

Would it be cheaper to play home games in this cup at welling or dartford?1
-
Not allowed. Pitch quality would be an issue with moving games from league stadia, especially for the U21 teams this is now built around.Todds_right_hook said:Would it be cheaper to play home games in this cup at welling or dartford?

In 2018/19, Newcastle U21 hosted Macclesfield and Chelsea U21 hosted Wimbledon at the same knockout stage. Chelsea U21 also played Peterborough at Stamford Bridge in the third round.
In 2017/18, we played away at Swansea U21 in round 2 and Chelsea U21 hosted Oxford in the quarter final round.
In 2016/17, Wolves U21 hosted Sunderland in round 2, Southampton U21 vs Reading U21 was held at St Marys, Norwich U21 hosted Swansea U21 at Carrow Road and Swansea U21 hosted Coventry in round 3.2 -
When is the next round draw ?0

Pretty sure they changed the rules for the 20/21 tournament though.Callumcafc said:

You’re missing the point. This is all about what suits the PL clubs. It has nothing to do with us.addick1956 said:
So in the FA Cup we can't really go to places like Gateshead who are on the same level as Dartford , especially if we play anyone under 21 ??Airman Brown said:

When is the draw?
It will take place on Saturday, December 4. It will be conducted following the conclusion of the Coventry City versus West Bromwich Albion Championship game.
That kicks off at 12.30pm so the draw is likely to get underway from 2.30pm onwards from the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Former Coventry striker Jay Bothroyd will be undertaking draw duties alongside ex-England man Kevin Phillips. Former Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton midfielder David Prutton will be on presenting duties.
Come on Jay, give us a nice easy tie

If we make it through this next round and into the quarter-finals, we can draw any of the other seven teams (four north or three south) as the draw is no longer regionalised from the last eight onwards.2
-
Let's have these u21 teams in the next 2 rounds. I don't want us to be a first in a final v an u21 side. It will happen eventually but please not to us.2
-
Let's hope that we get Arsenal or Chelsea and lose. The sooner we get knocked out of this nonsense, the better. It's embarrassing.1
-
A weird feeling that we have TWO cup draws to look forward to, and games in January...5
-
Draw coming up shortly now that Coventry v West Brom has finished.0
-
Really can't understand the mentality of wanting to lose. These games are tremendous experience for likes of Burstow, Bakrin, Elerwere and Harkness. Also helps keep some of first team squad like Morgan, Kirk, Davison and Watson reasonably sharp.jimmymelrose said:Let's hope that we get Arsenal or Chelsea and lose.
