    Brilliant performance to a man.

Their keeper was pick of the bunch, some excellent saves to stop us cruising to a much bigger win.

Since when can we pass that intricately? Some truly superb passages of play tonight. Dobson is annoying rash of a player - love him. Gilbey is going from strength to strength at the moment and we are starting to see the player we thought we got. Pearce was a rock at the back and even found time to have a wrestle. Stockley's finish was brilliant and Conor just does not stop running - his energy is seemingly boundless.

As Curbs said, so many players complimenting each others play tonight - long may it continue.

Seen plenty of plaudits for Wash, Gilbey, Famewo, Dobson (my MOM), and rightly so but shout outs to DJ but especially Clare who had a fantastic game again.

Why do the Ipswich fans deserve more? They thought they were the L1 Man City a few months back!
Exactly. Mouthy and twatish on the train pre match and silent after 10 minutes. They had one song and that was about Norwich, two leagues above them
  • After a slow start we dominated the game and were good to watch. Plenty of flowing football and 2-0 flattered Ipswich. Defensively we looked very solid.

In moments that was some of the best football I've seen us play in a long time. You can see the ideas starting to come together now that they've been playing in this formation a short while. We play our way out of trouble, we're deadly on the turnover with Washington and we get loads of players in the box. What happened to endlessly hoofing it up to Stockley?

Ipswich look demoralised, though Bonne's link-up play really caused us prob... oh wait, no it didn't because it doesn't exist.

Another really enjoyable game. It's so nice to have a bit of joy back at this club.

Not much you can say about their players TBF if you wanted to compliment them about something

A massive rebound win after two disappointing league results, he can handle the pressure, give him the job

Sone Aluko is Ipswich's Arter isn't he btw. Completely unfit for professional football. Amazed he lasted as long as he did. Number 24 behind him was having to do running for two men
I thought he would be a threat. The only threat he posed was to himself.

Those watching on TV, we’re we wasteful in front of goal of did their keeper have a worldy?

Magnificent, one of those nights under the lights you will remember that, our midfield completely bossed it. Their keeper was superb and prevented it being 5-6.

No-one will want to come to the Valley as we are currently, Jacko and Jason have turned a bemused looking group of individuals into a top 6 side.

Confidence, hunger, belief and a good amount of talent, loving going to the football at the moment and can't wait for  Saturday.
  • For anyone suffering from Long Covid, keep your chin up. Gilbey’s engine is like it’s fresh off the production line! Unbelievable running from him today, talk about box to box.

Fantastic improvement in the turnstile situation.
Fantastic win, there were parts in our play that were forged in the telepathy a settled team has.
Some of the moments of awareness between our players reminded me of the Bournemouth that won promotion under Howe.
Now we need the best of that performance all the time in every game, I hope it's possible.
But for the Ipswich keeper we would easily have had four or five.
Did they have an attempt on target at any time?

So pleased Gilbey got that goal - he really deserved it. And loved the celebration.

Washington, Dobson and Stockley also really good this evening.

In those dire games at the start of the season when we were abject - it always seemed like the opposition had an extra player they were so in control - felt like the tables had turned and that was us tonight.

Clare, Pearce, Famewo, Dobson and Washington won’t have many similar performances and not win MoM.

Was worried after about 25 mins we’d once again come off the levels we’d seen in the Rotherham and Plymouth games, but then something seemed to kick in, we upped the urgency when pressing and moving the ball and never stepped back from that point.

Was terrified we were going to be wastefully sucker punched but Ipswich had no real desire about them and Gilbey’s fantastic goal was very much ‘start your tractor’.

great night. Love it when we win, regardless of whatever league. Feels like forever now since we last lost and can’t believe we are still 10 points off the play offs. Just how bad were we???

Of all the nights to be Tom dick, mine was tonight :-(

I had to stream it.  Yes and no.  Purrington probably should’ve done better with the header at the start of the second half.  Washington hit it hard and low and their keeper pulled off a decent save and the shot on the turn from the corner (can’t remember who) looked like it was going wide on the replay.

I think we cut them open enough times to make it feel like we were wasteful, but often in football, it’s never as simple as taking every single chance.  I seem to remember coming away from Doncaster thinking the same.  I would say 3, maybe 4 - nil would’ve been justifiable.  Anything more than that I think we’re just getting carried away (nothing wrong with that though, after we scored it was a dominant performance)

I’d agree. Elliott Lee is perhaps a bit annoyed with himself, though. As Curbs said, he needs a goal.

We did lose our last league game, last week…! But I get what you mean!
  • Our best performance the season and can see JJ has started to work on the footballing side of our game after sorting out the out of possession errors.

Can’t see any reason to drag this out any longer give Jackson the job, it’s starting to look strange.

Thought the opener came a bit against the run of play, we couldn't really strong more than a couple of passes before their pressure made us pump it long.

From that goal though right through to the end we were superb. Some absolutely delightful stuff at times, those couple of roll overs Stockley did, to Washington's first touches out of the air, to the little flicks round the corner from Gilbey to Lee and also DJ with that turn in the middle of the park that made his man question his choice of becoming a footballer.

Too many standout players tonight but I really do have a man crush on Washington. I think he is fantastic and sometimes doesn't get the praise he should. If I was a L1 defender I'd absolutely hate playing against him. Gutted he couldn't cap that performance off by finishing that chance when through on goal in the second half.

Best I've seen us play in a long time. Tommy give him the job.

Their goalkeeper was far and away their best player.

Knew he must've been decent after spending the last two seasons on loan in the Championship with Wigan and Blackburn.
