that's obviously a screenshot from the 1981 series yeah ?
  • Don't show the pain Stokesy!
  • Why does it always happen in Australia that we can never bowl the tail out cheaply. Even in England for that matter their tail always ALWAYS seems to put up big partnerships against us.
  • The plan here is to make batting look so easy that Australia don't declare

Predictions on England score at close of play ?
    56 for 2
    First or second innings?
  • The fielders are so deep they can run easy twos everywhere

I've got news for you Oohaah - it's spreading faster than Corona over here

And they've been doing it for as long as I can remember. If you can't bat well down the order then you don't get in the side.

We've got better at it but are nowhere near their level.

This is about as bad as it can get. Convict tail wagging and we look absolutely fried.

Now they put us in for some humiliating early wickets to fall late in the day

It’s good of the palace fans to travel all the way out there to support England 👏
  • It might be good if we can keep it REALLY tight tomorrow, so that Australia need to bat on into the evening
Do England want to bowl out Australia too quickly now? The quicker that happens, the longer we have to bat under the lights against fresh and fired up bowlers
Think the Aussies will have a 40 minute thrash and either get to 440 plus or be all out in that time
83 runs in that time. 25 or so overs for us to bat

83 off 10 overs since tea. Now that's going for it.

But with 473 on the board. And this isn't us doing the declaring!

I can see us being at least three down before the close of play . There is no way Burns will be there for very long .

90 or so mins to survive until close of play. 20 ish overs. I'm saying 48/2 at stumps.

extremely tough conditions to bat on - cloud's are coming in, under lights, friday night so the locals will be very rowdy. Everything is pointing at an england collapse here..

That’s optimistic thinking we’ll get nearly 50 runs in 20 overs!

    I’ll say 37-2.

I have a feeling we could be as much as 5 down.

MUCH better first England innings than the first Test, so far.

they definitely have a plan for burns - he does walk accross way too much, and starc's angle and swing will catch him out.

Agreed . He looks like getting out LBW all the time .

the way he moves his front foot as a trigger movement is so awkward looking, pace on middle and leg is going to get him out more often than not.
  • One day gone out of 5. Aussies only have 220. Does no one think we can win this one  ?
well .. the Aussies are without their two best bowlers (Lyon is still there though) and that really weakens them ..  nothing is impossible, however I am not putting any of my hard earned on an England win
I really rate Jhye Richardson. Hope I'm wrong about him!
That first over has done nothing to dispel that fear!
  • Time for Crawley next Test
