Lincsaddick said:Hazlewood will miss the 3rd test, Cummins is back and Harris keeps his place despite being the biggest failure (so far) amongst the 'specialist batsmen' from either side .. Starc is also due to play
The England T20 side selected for the tour of the West Indies in January looks a stronger outfit than that selected for the Ashes lol ..
Squad: Eoin Morgan (Middlesex - captain), Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Tom Banton (Somerset), Sam Billings (Kent), Liam Dawson (Hampshire), George Garton (Sussex), Chris Jordan (Surrey), Liam Livingstone (Lancashire), Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire), Tymal Mills (Sussex), David Payne (Gloucestershire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Jason Roy (Surrey), Phil Salt (Lancashire), Reece Topley (Surrey), James Vince (Hampshire).

So now that Michael Vaughan has been switched to cover the Big Bash, another former England captain and commentator is going to be part of the BT Ashes team - David Gower0

Looks like Boland will play in the Test and Cummins will return to join Richardson, Lyon and Green with Hazlewood (still injured), Starc (a niggle) and Nesser (dropped) all missing out
Boland will become only the second indigenous Australian to play in a Test match - Gillespie was the first2 -
England have named the previously leaked team with Burns, Pope, Broad and Woakes dropped for Crawley, Bairstow, Wood and Leach0
-
Loos like the right team to me.0
-
Agree, I think that's about right with the personnel available.

" Be brave and eradicate mistakes" Root demands.
Why doesn't he just stamp loser on his forehead0 -
Strange to have both teams confirmed a day early0

Scott Boland makes his Aussie debut at age 32, following Michael Neser at age 31 .. interesting that Cummins and Starc are no spring chickens and as for Anderson and Broad ? .. Wood is a mere kid at age 31 (nearly 32)0
-
Cummins (28) is younger than Starc (31) and Hazlewood (30).0

It's raining - but only lightly. Gower and McGrath reckon that the team that wins the toss should bowl.0

Great to have Gower back.0

Lost the toss on a green wicket with recent rain.

Never heard of this Boland fella?
Is it too early to say Boland out?0 -
Starc is playing and Richardson has been left out as well as Nesser. Bit harsh on Richardson given he took at 5 fer in the last innings0
