Well, I said OVER 30, socafcfan1990 said:

(I assumed he signed at the start of 2001/2 which would have made him 29, but maybe he signed during the season)0 -
He signed in the December.Leuth said:

And he was over 30, he didn't sign on his birthday...4 -
Okay, well to be unambiguous, I mean anyone aged 31 or more14

Yeah, the best shout so far. More than ten years agoEricBanterna said:

When you’re in a hole stop digging 😉Leuth said:Okay, well to be unambiguous, I mean anyone aged 31 or more9 -
Anyway, Costa was signed for freakish reasons as above, and we were in the Premiership, and he was an experienced international who was yet to achieve his greatest days as a professional. Harry Arter he...wasn't0
-
Right, so we're now looking for anyone aged over 31 who then didn't sign for us. So we're trying to find an example of a loan player who did well, but not well enough we wanted him permanently. I'm out.3

We've got three now.
How many have been that bad? Have we even had that many? I can only think of Fanni, Hulse and Tudgay (on top of Arter). I don't think Fanni and Hulse were that bad, Tudgay was a disaster.0 -
Leon Cort3

Rob Hulse2

Rod Fanni0

Rod Fanni was 34 when he signed on loan. No idea if he was good, I found those years too painful to watch, but I've read positive comments0

A disastrous season, but Rod Fanni wasn't bad3

There are good reasons most of them are forgottencafcfan1990 said:

What constitutes a good / naff January transfer window from what’s coming up?0

We sign a 30+ goals a season striker = Good!Mendonca In Asdas said:What constitutes a good / naff January transfer window from what’s coming up?We don’t sign a 30+ goals a season striker = Naff!
There’s zero in between. Tick Tock Gallen.6 -
This could be an important window for next season. A small fee for a player now and an 18 month contract might be more cost effective than trawling the free agent market in the summer.
Personally I think we need to recruit now for next season rather than a late promotion bid.6 -
And on what date do we start to panic that we haven't signed said striker yet?ElliotCAFC said:

I'm going with the 12th after a drab 0-0 draw at Crewe.1
