I know I met him once at Fulham away many years ago, walking up from Putney station someone (who knew me) introduced me to him and from then we were always on 'nodding' terms.

@Live by the sword so sorry Ben for your loss. Nick was such a nice unassuming guy and I and my stepson Dan recall the away day at Shrewsbury a few years back and I recall that same season staying overnight with you guys after an away game at Rochdale. Last bumped into Nick on the Wembley concourse prior to the last play off final. RIP big fella.4
