What's football parlance for "fuck off"?

He's the closest we've got to a wonder kid, being a mediocre league 1 side that we are
  • A month ago we wouldn't have laughed that off. If Stockley and Washington had stayed fit in January, and with Aneke added, Burstow would have struggled for game time and a 5 month loan might have seemed like a good idea (similar to the Karlan loan at Crawley which set him up for the following season)

Perhaps we could really tempt them with a straight swap for Pratley.

That would really break my heart when Darren has to leave for a second time.

    I'd start supporting Welling

Just trying to wrap my head around why giving JFC a contract for a year (when he's unlikely to play at all) after going through two ACLs is a good thing while signing this lad who by all accounts is back fit and ready to play is a bad thing.
Standing by JFC when he did his was 100% the right thing to do.  He did it playing for us.

If Browne is fit and able to play and his rebuilt knee, that was an issue before his ACL, is now 100% it's not an issue.  Until he trys no one, even experts, KNOW, then can make educated guesses.
And what do you say if JFC doesn't play all year and decides to bugger off at the end of his contract.   Were we then right to stand by him?!

Sometimes you just have to do what was right, which we did.

    Absolutely yes.

I believe he’s also been doing some coaching to hasn’t he, contributing while not playing

And all of a sudden this deal sounds more appealing

    😉
I mentioned that  to Burstow that @Leuth had made the threat and that was the main reason he decided to hand a transfer request in. He wants to move to happen tonight.

So it was his fault we lost all those games then  ;)

A media friend mentioned Nile John. Another Spurs link. He's not someone that would make something up, but he is also a rugby union fan.
Issues with his medical I heard.

Whether we have pulled the plug completely or are negotiating a lower cost deal I have no idea.
    Heard he contracted covid.

Imo yes totally. Whatever happens in the future the club did the right thing. The alternative action would be justification for players like Taylor to take the stance he did. Sometimes you have to do the right thing purely because it is the honorable thing to do

Mason Burstow is barely 19 and a half.
He has still development potential, let him grow.
But a loan to Leyton Orient will be no better than bobbling around our first team as he is doing at the moment.

    He’s still only 18 Seth.

Particularly when you factor in he’s barely 18 and a half.

6 in 14 now, most of the 14 were appearances from the bench too, at what point do we consider him to be a wonder kid?  Or at least, our wonder kid.
