I can understand Jacko giving players last chances to impress, but I had already written off Matthews being here next season. Maybe Jacko hasn't written him off yet.
Maybe it was a choice between Matthews and Gunter - what would be your choice?

They've only had the whole.transfer window.to.sort that issue
You can't just get rid of a player under contract.

Looks like we've managed to do it with Burstow. Talk about indecent haste, unbelievable really. Does everybody look at us as a soft touch ?
That's not the same thing though, is it?

Selling a player to another club is one thing.

But getting rid of a player under contract can't be done - unless there's a buying club.

No I know it's not the same thing, it was a pissed off comment from a pissed off fan pissed off watching youngsters play less & less games for us before disappearing.

That’s twice Gilbey has lost control of the ball when on the break. Poor.
When you start to notice how poor he is on the counter-attack, it is infuriating. Loses all composure.
  • playing well last few mins
  • Pretty poor opening 5 but growing into it a bit more now

Early midfield report - Morgan bright, Dobson busy, Gilbey a bit sloppy. Energy levels good though.

Has there been any explanation why the two new loanees aren't involved?

CBT causing problems with his pace, Dobson starting to impose himself and Albie looking very controlled. Bizarrely, Famewo has hared down the left and put two crosses in already

Nice interception by Clare, who eventually gets baulked on the edge of the D of their area, and is now down.
  • I just woke up after finishing my week of nights. Who’s the new CB we signed? Famwo?

  • “Not a foul”…? He literally stood on Clare’s foot.
  • Not sure I agree with momentum being the reason we didnt get a free kick

Surely as a Defender thats why you have to time your challenge properly as they didnt exactly win the ball that well

CBT does well to evade a challenge but the ball then runs out of play.
  • Are we playing Chris Wilder style overlapping centre backs?

Matthews blocks an attempt at a cross from inside our area, and Dobson helps him  clear.

  • Apparently we've won 8 out of our last 9 at Fratton Park. Nice to be on the right end of a stat like that.

CBT cuts inside but gets dispossessed. Dobbo wins it back off Romeo.

Was that a defensive back heel from Innis?

God I still get flash back nightmares after watching Oshilaja, Purrington and Millar all running into each other in what ever game it was Bowyer tried it.

Washington lays off to Gilbey to shoot from distance and it's deflected for a corner.
