It's when it comes to things like mania the "everyone is a star so no one actually is" booking becomes so transparent. They rely on part timers and one offs to make it feel big but they have run out of people that can still go. There aren't the equivalents to Taker, HBK, HHH even Flair that could have one match a year and it be the match of the year.
There is obviously something in it because the worse the product is the more money they make. 🤷♂️0 -

The same reason people will watch Game of Thrones, Line of Duty or Coronation Street.The Premier League is more predictable than most scripted entertainment.3 -
I like Shane's fued with X-Pac at Wrestlemania XV and the Mean Street Posse, but after that he became a stuntman. His striking is as bad as Chyna's. He's someone I don't want to see on TV.

I like Shane as a character. He’s great on the mic and can tell a story.
Plus there is still that novelty factor with him. It amazes me that a billionaire heir is willing and able to want to do the things he does at his age. I couldn’t see Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar etc going to the top rope, let alone diving off the top of a cell. He doesn’t need to, but still wants to.I find it hard to take my eyes off that sort of character who you know in real life is living a very different situation from practically anyone else on the roster.
If the alternative is watching boring mid card feuds invoking Nakamura, Nikki ASH, Street Profits etc then give me Shane any day of the week.0 -

I never try and blag but the winner was obvious from October onwards. I had a nice amount on Lesnar at 4/1 for the rumble.Rousey was 10/1 start of last week.1

I didn’t really understand the fuss with him when he joined the company. The NXT run was decent enough, but some fans were talking about him being THE guy in WWE for years to come purely based upon a style he wrestled in Japan. Bizarre thinking really, as he and WWE don’t really go hand in hand at all.0 -

Boogs is class! I think Shane over Nakamura says a lot about how the two have been pushed. His debut match with Zayn was incredible. Zayn has also been used exceptionally....

It's a shame Brock will never really get the credit (for his whole career) that he deserves. He is probably the most "legit" world champion since Jack Brisco, including Angle, you can well believe he could out wrestle Bret, out power Mark Henry, throw big show round like a rag doll. Him and Heyman are up there with Heenan and Bockwinkle, Cornette and the midnight and Ellery and the road warriors as iconic manager wrestlers combos.

Ending the Undertaker’s streak felt like a strange decision at the time, but it did propel Lesnar to being close to invincible for a few years following that. They’ve managed to get a ton of Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Rumble main events out of Lesnar in turn.0 -

Like Orton, who really went through the motions and looked like he couldn't give a shit for a couple of years, he looks like he's enjoying himself so much more, which is interesting because a lot of the midcard and undercard talent are claiming that the morale is the lowest it's been backstage, and a lot of people are unhappy with their lot and how they're used0

Each to their own but I don't think you can get more legit than someone who won an Olympic Gold medal with a broken freaking neck. Sid and Vader had great looks as did other pre *insert date of steroid trial* I think by the nature of wrestling fans the looks aren't important these days and promos work rate are. I think Steve Austin is the best ever WWF/E champion and Flair WCW/NWA.
Although there was some match on Raw a couple of years ago with two giants that had a this is awesome chant before they even locked up.1 -

I think the fact Brock was successful in MMA, which many pro wrestlers aren't (different skill set as much as anything) added to his credibility. Not many can say that except for a few of the early UFC types like Dan Severn and Ken Shamrock. It's not his fault if WWE are unable to build up other characters to that level, but even from the start Brock was a different animal. Youngest ever WWE champ I believe.0
