Yes, the NYT have removed some words from the list that was in the original game, including SLAVE and PUSSY as well as yesterday's word, AGORA. Not much point sticking with the original version now.

That's a really tough word. I was flummoxed. I kept writing words that didn’t even exist by the time I got to the 6th go. Gave up in the end and picked a word I knew was wrong, just to see what it was. I never even knew it existed, but it will forever be something stuck in my head now. An outside space in Ancient Greece. Crazy choice when taken in context of the usual words they usestonemuse said:

I got stuck today after 2 guesses and just couldn't get a word from the possible letters, then had a light bulb moment. Or so I thought. still the first letter wrong.
Shrek said it was a word I would know but there definitely no word from the available letters so he had to tell me. And I definitely don't know the word.
First time I have had to give in or not got the word in 6 goes - think my worst before was 50 -

I got it in 4 I think but there was no other possibility given the letters.
