It's my birthday today. My gf has covid, 3 of our fence panels have broken, we have no electricity and I am currently re-siliconing the bathroom as there's a leak.

You’re from my school of DIY. I’ve currently got a window where the handle is tied with string back to a shower fitting to stop it blowing openCovered End said:Fence props holding firm lol.

Not going to lie I'd love to be out somewhere like that capturing that sort of image. Before going out THAT far though I'd watch the conditions, and if I saw they were as bad as that - I'd be trying to take a shot from a much safer spot!!AllHailTheHen said:It's pictures like this that really annoy me. I'm in a small village about 3 miles from Headcorn. Our power went off at 10 and has just come back on. Fallen trees blocking lane. No mobile signal here and BT made us replace our landline with digital voice phone so we are completely cut off when we have a power cut.killerandflash said:

Power has been down since 11am.
Apparently they "hope to have it restored within 3 days"!

Can I be the first to point out that these storms have become much more prevalent and disruptive since we started naming them.
If we didn't feed their egos I'm sure there would be fewer of them.9 -
Been without power since 11am this morning in Mereworth, Kent. Just come back on so happy days.0

Digital Voice is bloody useless. And if it runs off broadband why has my price not gone down because I no longer need to pay for line rental.cherryorchard said:

Postponed at 4pmkillerandflash said:Bournemouth are due to play Forest tonight. No decision has been made yetFriday's Championship fixture between Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest is among six games postponed this weekend as Storm Eunice sweeps across the UK.
The game at Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium was due to start at 19:45 GMT.
But following storm damage to sections of roofing, the decision to postpone the match was confirmed at 16:00.
In a statement, the English Football League said it was "extremely disappointed that the decision had been left so late in the day".
Many of the Forest fans came down last night...1 -
