My son asked me the other day, what was the best individual performance I’ve seen against Charlton. I struggled to think….but then I remembered a game against spurs in 89 I think. We went ahead through Paul Williams and then lost 3:1. Gazza scored a blinder and set up one for lineker, found it on YouTube the other day. We went from a winning position to 3:1 down in a matter of minutes. He was unplayable
For me it was Gazza at Shithurst (over Rosenthal, Barnes and Aldridge) and I think best oppo performance against us at The Valley was either Ginola or Dominguez
Tony, Tony Galvin , Tony Galvin on the wing ripped us a new one at The Valley and Selhurst but Gazza at Selhurst was a bit special too a bit like Liverpool in the eighties I didn’t mind Spurs but as time goes by and the more bitter I get the dislike overtakes all the innocence of youth and I kin 8 everyone !
Hes a alcoholic wife beating scumbag, just because he can kick a football pretty well shouldn't mean he gets a free pass for being a cnut. The lad he tripped over, was hurt and another player came and picked him up.

Wonder what would have happened had he moved to Man Utd, under Fergie, rather than Spurs. Did hear his Dad wanted a house, and Fergie said no.
If he had not been mates with the likes of Evans and Baker who use to take him out on the piss, he might just of connected with the ball across the goal in the 96 Euros Semi vs Germany.
Huge talent, like so many had a flaw...... what might have been.
Paul Parker playing left back for Fulham against us at Selhurst, an absolutely incredible performance by him.
Surely it would have been as right back?
I can distinctly remember him being mostly on the left…..however he was all over the place on the day, the ball seemed like it had a magnet in it and time and time again he was there clearing, tackling and heading, it was extraordinary.

it’s a shame what he has become as he was a genius of a footballer but a pretty terrible human being

Was such a typical Curbs era "on the beach" after reaching 40 points performance that.
Oh to be back turning in crap performances only after making sure you'd be playing Premier League football for another season.
