Bizarre the way Potts bowled that ball then strided straight off

I hope Lees had a camomile tea rather than a strong coffee, as his running was very hyper before tea!

Me and the Mrs are off out at about 3pm tomorrow 😮‍💨😮‍💨

FFS Zak, you'd been playing so well and had a ton waiting for you

Crawley gone swinging at a wide one in Jamieson's first over. Was an obvious noise and he almost reviewed it!

Had to be talked down by Lees at the other end. Think he was more peed off / in disbelief that he'd got out like that (again) than actually thinking that he hadn't nicked it.

    59-1

    Crawley 43 (56) c Blundell b Jamieson

It's a different game now with Zak out. Neither Lees and Pope have Crawley's fluency

Pope is seriously pissing me off and im5a Surrey supporter.
I don't care how good his technique is supposed to be.
He can average over 50 in first class cricket but play like a novice in test cricket.
He reminds me of Hick and Rampracash.
Prove me wrong Otherwise you will end up just like them.
Great in county cricket and bang average in test cricket.
    Rant over.

I think it is that belief mindset. One can't help thinking that if he had the persona of say a KP he would score plenty of runs. He's still only 24 and this is only his first go at 3. I'm more confident that a McCullum can persuade him to impose himself than a Silverwood could for example.

You cannot convince me that Lees is in the top 30 English batters right now

By the Close there wont be much between the 2 sides.

Should really be out of sight by tomorrow lunchtime. Instead we'll be all out with a lead of less than 100.

    Edit.

Make that a lead of less than 10.

No one has said he is.
Name someone better as an opener and it gets a bit harder.
England do not have a world class batsman at the top of the order.
    That's the problem.

Crawley’s 43 and de Grandhomme’s 42 looking the best batting performances on the first day by some stretch.

    This is pathetic.

    From 92 for 2 to 100 for 7.
