No one really stood out tonight. Gavin took his two goals well though the keeper should have saved his second.

For a team that was full of trialists in St Neots, they had a few good players that caused some issues for the Under 23’s especially in the first half.

Assuming one trialist was Aaron Jones the keeper.

    Any clues on the other.

I make it 22 senior players for Dartford on Saturday. Got to be a good while since we have had that amount of first team squad members for the opening (UK) friendly of the season
We need a full strength team,to face the mighty Darts

2-2 . Nothing between the sides to be fair. Typical friendly - all about fitness. Our no 2 was the most impressive . Not sure his name.
Good to hear especially if it was Richard Chin because no one seemed to know what happened to him at the end of last season. Interesting that he was converted from a midfielder to a full back last season. Could he be seen in the first team this season or is it still too soon?

He played right wing back in the first half and was very good . He came back on ( rolling subs ) in the last half an hour in central midfield and was less affective.

Still think we need a goal poacher
We've got the eggs in defense. Bring it on, I say.

apologies apologies if this has been covered before, but does anyone know why we no longer play Welling pre-season. Clearly, we have switched to Dartford but is there a reason behind dumping Welling?

The same day as the U23s play Hampton which seems a bit odd.

I presume we play Dartford now because its part of a deal with them to play our U23 games there

That was one of the reasons the Welling friendly was in place as well.

Our U23s were due to play a friendly at Park View Road this summer, but Welling have had to cancel all their friendly games there, due to work going on at the Ground.

Acquitting ourselves against a comparable side, weeks ahead in their fitness and preparation is no bad thing.
Those same two XI's plus an added Sessegnon ought to tear Dartford several new holes on Saturday.
The gulf in class needs to be ruthlessly exposed.  Even on a hot and sunny afternoon Garner's new squad needs to be merciless.
A relaxed kickabout will not be acceptable, passengers ought not be tolerated.  I'm happily supporting our non-league neighbours by buying a ticket but I want this new Charlton squad to put on some entertainment.

Strongest Team in my opinion, using 3-5-1-1.  (This is what I thought I saw first half of last game)

    McG
    Clare  Deji  O'Connell
     CBT, McGrandles, Dobson   JFC  Sessegnon
    Fraser
    Stockley

subs....Wollacott, Egbo, Innis, Lavelle, DJ, Kirk, Aneke.

other players not included, Morgan, Gilbey, Davison and more Under 23's.

    probably forgot one or two.

Given how they played last week, the only place thats a little debatable is JFC vs Morgan from your team

Thought there was little to split them, but would probably for for JFC as he's more reliable

If we went 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 (with Stockley on his on and Fraser flanked by CBT / Kirk)

    Macca
    Clare - Elerewe - O'Connell - Sessegnon
    McGrandles - Dobson - Fraser
    CBT - Stockley - Kirk

I’d like to think Morgan will be gone by the time the transfer window shuts . At least on loan

We only beat Dartford 2-1 last summer, I'd be surprised if we run up a big win
