    Surprised myself had a few tears when it was announced, she became queen just before I was born, now 70 years later her sovereignty has ended and will leave a gap in our lives. So fitting the rainbow over Windsor

    RIP your Majesty. You will be so sorely missed, but always loved and never ever forgotten as the amazing woman who always represented her people and Kingdom so reliably and brightly! I hope your star sits above our World, your people and Kingdom for eternity. It deserves to be there watching over us x

    I'm not a royalist but had great respect for the way she conducted her life.

    Having watched the news all afternoon it still came as  shock and I shed some tears. It will be strange to be without her on all the state occasions. She was a truly remarkable woman.

    Not only did her presence and service protect us from any possibility of tyranny, but the integrity we saw from her was a comfort.
    A very sad moment.

    Whatever you think of the monarchy, she was an incredible woman and actually go as far as to say that for many people their interest in the Royal family will probably end with her.

    Never forget her speech when we all got locked down. Was in tears as I was so worried about my dad but they gave me so much comfort.
