I understand that Zynex has lost its contract with its largest client, which has torpedoed its finances in a significant way - the share price of the company has nose dived on the back of this - so this may explain the current situation a la investment in CAFC……1

bought our season tickets at the early not quite so high price so the match to match ticket prices don't currently affect us
certainly wouldn't go very often at £32 per match, rarely if at all for Tuesday evening games
first few games bought programs and an occasional burger or box of chips - prices daft but only what's expected at entertainment venues
then came the news of bullying being ignored by senior management
then came news of "redundancies" of well known, well liked staff
relentless stream of emails hoping to flog us hospitality and streaming for every fixture only succeeds in telling us they're not selling much of that at all
then we are told a crock of shit about the summer transfer "business"
we've decided this regime won't be getting another penny of revenue unless and until the quality and integrity of senior management is restored
If revenue from match attending fans is such an important source they've succeeded in fucking that right up
the high handed idiocy is almost on Meire/Douchebag levels
last but by no means least the current squad's performances are prompting more discussion on whether to attend at all
our 4 have a cumulative 120+ years of regular Charlton attendance which is in danger of withering away very quickly indeed
treating us as ungrateful, clueless mugs is the exact opposite of what's required13 -
Don't you go trying to make Tommy the victim in all this.Lordflashheart said:I understand that Zynex has lost its contract with its largest client, which has torpedoed its finances in a significant way - the share price of the company has nose dived on the back of this - so this may explain the current situation a la investment in CAFC……

It's only worth it if you can buy a championship (or lower) club, get it to the PL and keep it there whilst at the same time not spending the earth.msomerton said:
no football club is financialy worth it. Wealthy owners taken them on as a challenge and for the kudos of successes.king addick said:This isnt defence of TS when I ask this question but realistically what can we expect if TS sells? Who is out there? Who would want to take the chance on us? More importantly, are we as a club, financially worth it?
Again not a loaded question and no right or wrong answer but I am curious as to what is out there & peoples opinions.
People will point at the Glazers, but they bought Man U by loading the debit accrued for buying the club on the club. in its self ManU
would be in trouble if the debits were not a moderatly friendly ones if you consider the interest payments friendly.
No idea what Matthew Benham paid for Brentford but i'm sure if he sold them tomorrow he'd make a very nice profit.0 -
Blokes a total twat, if you want to produce crap on the pitch, you will get crap support, simples.
Give the public an exciting winning product they will support it, give them shit they will turn their back on it, particularly in recessionary times.
The man has his head firmly up his own arse.13 -

Did I read somewhere, cant remember where, that Brian Jokat has waded in with a comment or two about the recent tweets from Leo? Can someone let me know please?1

I love a bit of drama me BUT supporting this football club is just too much drama!1

It’s for when they don’t like what the first one tells them, they can get the second one to say something nice!Chunes said:Didn't they recently announce that they were going to hire a second Fan's Adviser? If you're not even going to listen to the first one, what's the point of having two?2 -
If they sell Rak-Sakyi to Palace in the next transfer window I will be incredibly impressed!mendonca said:Just need to be wary of them trying to sell Leaburn and Rak-Sakyi to Palace in the next transfer window :-/
Not seen Airman on here for a while. Him and Varney busy on the phone?!

If I were rich enough to own us I’d bring in an experienced CEO to run the ship on a day to day basis.MuttleyCAFC said:If I was rich enough to own us, I doubt I would be a rockstar owner but if I try to imagine I was and I wrote this great song, I wouldn't walk out on the pitch playing it on my guitar if I knew the deficiencies in the squad I was leading out. If I didn't I probably would soak up the glory - if I was that way inclined. It shows Sandgaards complete lack of football knowledge. It is when I started getting real doubts.3 -

Felt the exact same tuesday night, and i really feel the empty ground played aassive part in it. Had a ST and done 10+ aways pretty much every season, but just going on Tuesday felt like a chore.Elthamaddick said:
yep gotta agree - although in reality I'm almost past the point of caring anymore, got far more important things going on in my life, football is definitely down the list of priorities nowJ BLOCK said:

He will forever be thanked for saving us but whatever his intentions originally were, its all gone tits now for one reason or another and the sooner he sells up, the better - hopefully !!!
I realised Tuesday that I actually didn't care whether I went or not, I did go but had no real enthusiasm for it at all
Made a deal with myself at the start of the season to only do away matches that are a direct train from London, but I'm starting to think about whether I can even be bothered with that.

I think we'd all like him to succeed Doucher, nobody on here can shout 'told you so' and I still and always will believe he's a decent man who didn't realise the depth of the problems that running a club like Charlton in the third division actually entails. I'm still hoping that a scenario may exist where TS can attract other wealthy individuals on to the board, I say may but that is made more difficult by the ownership of the Valley and Sparrows Lane by Dutchelet.DOUCHER said:I'd given TS the benefit of the doubt - albeit i'd taken a lot of what he said with a pinch of salt - but the closing of the transfer window with no goalscorer on board has confirmed a lot of things for me. Genuinely don't understand why you would take over a football club and then decide those running it don't need to have a background in football. Never been sure what the masterplan of TS is apart from hoping for the best?LargeAddick said:

Can't see this ending well with him as the owner.

I believe that is less of a problem than it was. I don't believe Roland is running the day to day business of, well his business, any more.Bailey said:

Does that mean that whoever is running his business would now accept what The Valley and Sparrows Lane are actually worth, as opposed to what Roland wanted them to be worth?Cafc43v3r said:

I’m sure there are some accountancy tricks, but at some point this is going to be an issue for his heirs. The nominal Belgian tax rate for any part of his estate over €125,000 is 65%. I don’t know how his holding company would be valued, as it’s not public, but I don’t think his heirs would be too happy at being asked to fork out about €30m in taxes for something that worth less than half that.superclive98 said:

That’s the worst part - it’s September and I have no delusions of promotion at all. That’s a ridiculous and depressing situation to be in.clb74 said:
