At what point will the penny drop to not play it out to somebody under pressure?
    May.

When we've just missed out on a prestigious top-half Division Three finish ...

... by about five places and a dozen points.

How is it “Garnerball” when the midfielder has a bad first touch?
    it’s just a fuck up
Because there's no way he should've been given the ball there and I'm sure Harness wouldn't have done unless being told to pass out.
It was a poor decision. Whether told to pass out or not, he should have made the decision to pump it up field if we're constantly under pressure.

A nice passing move from us culminates with a cross into the box from Morgan that's headed clear, and Plymouth are on the attack again.

Passing it around our goal area when our players are not good enough to do that with proper control. Have you watched any first team games?

Coming late to this.  Are our quadruple dreams over?
Not quite yet ...... but HMS PissTheQuadruple is becalmed and going nowhere.

Heading to dry dock for a fresh coat of paint and a re-naming/re-launching ceremony on Friday afternoon.
    Oopsie!

I agree it was a hospital ball into him and I don’t much like the fucking around at the back but it’s how we (and everyone else) play now.  So they need to do it, occasionally make the error and try not to replicate it.

unfortunately some people will lambast the players but they are learning their craft - mistakes are inevitable

Harness plays it out to Henry on the edge of our area, Plymouth player nips in from behind him to nick the ball, and shoots well to make it 3-1.
How many goals have we conceded this season by doing this?
Always an accident waiting to happen.

I just wish we'd play the Garnerball thing 15 yards further up the pitch and not on our 18-yard line.

Nice bit of defending from Asiimwe near the corner flag, but Deji's attempted clearance goes straight to a Plymouth player halfway up the pitch.

Defensive fuck ups are the purest form of Garnerball
  • Campell’s burst through the middle with three Addicks players ahead of him ends with him going sideways…

Plymouth have a free kick midway in our half near the RH touchline, but it sails straight to Harness.

Right, but he'll have in his mind that the manager wants him to pass out so errors are always likely. Why we persist with it at this level when our first team can barely do it I don't know.

    Who is this Ryler lad?
  • He's made a few mistakes but Aaron Henry has been all over this game, really busy. Morgan on the other hand has been pretty anonymous in a game that he should be dominating.
Henry has been busy, as the defensive midfielder, but ineffective.

Morgan has seen plenty of action
  • Impressed with  Asiimwe, showing some good touches and covering the ground well, impressive

Chin cuts in to the centre and has a shot from near the edge of the area, but it sails high and wide.

Plymouth down our left, switch the play to the other side, but the cross sails over everyone and out for a throw near the LH corner flag.

Renamed HMS DefensiveCock-up or HMS OutOfSteam?

That's if it's even able to get back to dry dock "running on fumes".

Hmm that's weird. Plymouth keeper spoons the ball, Campbell manages to win the ball, pulled back slightly but shrugs it off, but the ref pulls it back for a free kick.

It’s becoming more and more frustrating.  I can imagine the situation where we have two forwards on the half way line without a defender within 20 yards and the full backs have 3 players each pressing and we’ll STILL play it short.  You regularly see prem teams f**k it up, why do you think L1 will have a better success rate? 🤦‍♂️.  Just because you can play the ball short, doesn’t mean you have to every time

Campbell gets the ball to Chin in their area, but he gets it caught under his feet slightly.

U18 made his debut towards the end of the Brighton game, then came on again against Coalville if I remember rightly - He's a winger

Good run inside from Asiimwe, wide to ?? but the cross is collected well by their keeper.

Great little burst forward by Asiimwe, good flick and lay off from Kanu and the cross goes... To the keeper.
  • Thought Harness could have come for that cross, but didn't and ball put out for a Plymouth corner

Now Plymouth come down our left and Elerewe has to head the cross behind for a corner, which they waste, sending the ball sailing behind the goal.
