Luis Enrique gone from the Spain national team set-up after back to back round of 16 exits on penalties.0

Yeah not sure how surprised I should be, given Spain are a mixture of a very young team (Gabi | Pedro | Fati), combined with players that are entering the end of theirs (Alba | Biscuits) - Notice too that Germany, who had a worse Tournament, have decided to stick with Hansi Flick.Callumcafc said:Luis Enrique gone from the Spain national team set-up after back to back round of 16 exits on penalties.
Even if their Nations League performance wasnt much either...0 -
Have won only three games at the WC in regulation time since their win in 2010. Glad to see those boring feckers on their way home.Swindon_Addick said:3 shots on target in 120 minutes, only 1 of them by Spain. 3 penalties scored out of 7, none of them by Spain. Talk about going out with a whimper.0 -
Only personally known three people to be in the money through betting. Not saying there aren’t others but bookies are the main winners from betting.Lincsaddick said:

Ha ha, fair enough! I’ll take the Spain/Switzerland double and you can have Morocco/Portugal!Lincsaddick said:
not to be argumentative, BUT (lol) I will be VERY surprised if the Swiss beat Portugalse9addick said:
I’d be quite surprised if Morocco beat Spain, but not too surprised if Switzerland beat PortugalLincsaddick said:
not really their colour is itForeverAddickted said:Dont think I've ever seen Spain in that type of blue...
.. a Morocco win would not surprise me
thing is, I have not one penny on the double .. or the single for that matter .. Portugal seem to have come good at the right time .. and their manager is one of the most experienced and shrewdest out there AND he has a core of VERY good playersI on the other hand did double down on my own poor acumen…

Spain massively underachieved with that squad. Something wrong when you can't convert that amount of possession and general dominance into actual shots1

Prediction for Brazil v Netherlands:
Samba, Capoeira and even a chance of a Lundu for the South Americans and can only imagine a clog dance for the Dutch.0 -
Wasn't expecting that. That will be pretty terminal for Ben White's England career with the current setup you'd imagineNorth Lower Neil said:0 -

This appears to be the happiest England squad in living memory. How can we screw that up the day before a mega quarter final.

What are our four predictions for the Semi-Finals then?
Argentina | Croatia | England | Morocco?1 -
Exactly that, but with the opposition teamsForeverAddickted said:What are our four predictions for the Semi-Finals then?

Brazil and Portugal are massive favourites. The other two are hard to call but probably Argentina and France.0

I'd absolutely hate it if Portugal won the world Cup.
Anyone but them!

This is a much better performance from Croatia. By far their best in the tournament thus far.2
-
Pretty even so far. Good game.1

Croats not intimidated by Brazil. A good game so far, first real test for the Brazilians you feel.1
-
Brazil aren't gonna be beating everyone 6-0 that's for sure. This is the business end of the tournament, and honestly I think the closest group of teams we have had in the quarters for many a year. Things have closed up at the top of international football.0

Brazil lost in the QF 4 years ago, Croatia made the final. They are very good at grinding out wins when it mattersDamoNorthStand said:Brazil aren't gonna be beating everyone 6-0 that's for sure.
